Shutes Branch Recreation Area — Attraction in Tennessee

A Good boat launch that lets you put in close to two foot. On weekends parking can be hard to find and you will probably be waiting a while to put in or take out. The small pier to the side of the launch could really use better bumpers. If you are just visiting to picnic by the water its very well shaded but the restrooms are not usually clean. There are some nice winding paths to walk and if here during the week or early morning you might find some good places for fishing from shore. I don't really think it's good swimming at all and of course not really peaceful with dozens of boats and trucks going in and out constantly...

The mark was incorrect placed on Google map It get right now.......The camp ground does not exist any more . Now is there a trail . The trail name is Shutes Branch Mountain Bike Trail. Trailhead is at the beginning of Shutes Branch Road.... with many option to take the trail along this rd....and Weather station rd The Recreation and access area is located at creek shores, other side of Saundersville rd...with just a picnic area with tables and grill.....where the mark is...

This is mainly a place for people to use the boat ramp. There is a small picnic shelter and a couple other picnic tables. But there is not really a lot of room to run around so if you want to take the kids there for a long. Of time without getting in a boat it is not recommended.
