Maple Avenue Nature Park — Attraction in Terre Haute

Maple Avenue Nature Preserve is a nice little park in Terre Haute. When you visit the park you will see a nice sized pond with a 1/2 mile paved loop around it. You can walk the loop or walk your dog around the loop, ride your bike, run, jogging skate, however you want. The fishing is not to bad either I seen a little boy catch 3 fish in 30 min when I was by last. They have a playground for kids to play on. If you want you can rent a shelter out for for a family event or birthday party. Very nice for birthday parties. All and all a very nice park in terre haute. I would recommend coming to this park to family...

Went here for the eclipse and it was great!

There's a lake, plenty of room in the park to have a picnic, well maintained outhouses, a mexican food truck, plenty of gazebos, there were park services workers selling small treats and cool things and giving away eclipse glasses!

After, the traffic was insane, but that's an eclipse for you.

There was a kind guy on a four wheeler who asked for our garage! It is a great place, very well...

The park just offered me one of the best days of my life. Had a four year old catch 3 fish in under an hour, sat with his bare feet in the water and even made a friend who showed him her catfish she had caught.

The park seems to get more and more beautiful every time I go there. Definitely making some exceptional memories there.
