Texarkana Travel Information Center — Attraction in Texarkana

Really enjoyed this rest area. It's very clean, and there were many places I could walk my dog inside the fence, as well as outside of the fence, throughout the surrounding neighborhood. The bathrooms were clean, but not as nice as one would expect, judging by the outside of the building. Lots of parking here, although the semi truck parking was a bit confusing. There are two rows for trucks with trailers, but you must pull in forward to park there. If someone is parked in the space in front of you, can pull in behind them, only problem is, if the person in the front leaves, and you are asleep, you can't courteously pull up. It's very strange. Gr8 rest area. Soda vending machines leave alot to be desired. The price says $2, deposited $2 and was informed drinks are $2.50. Hit refund, got change and back to the car. Back at the machine I deposit $2.50 in change and it spits out my dimes. Once again hit refund and notice the bill feeder says it takes $1s $2s and $5s. Lucky me I have a fiver in my pocket so I try to feed the $5 into the machine and it continues to spit it out. Obviously it doesn't like fives or dimes. Texarkana seems to have a lot of things going on unfortunately it seems like they have a big congestion problem like on Richmond road in front of the mall and in front of the bank that the traffic lights aren't set correctly so that the people from these other areas like McDonald's Subway take five oil change can get out on to Richmond road and make a left turn someone might want to look into that otherwise it's great place to shop great place to go to eat we enjoy it very much and go...
