It was ok for one night I guess but it seems to be a popular pull of for tractor trailers and dump trucks to take breaks and the parking area is very very small.Not able to pull onto the beach I found a place by the " porta potty in a shack" ( which reminded me how thankful I am to have a bathroom in my motorhome ). The cross that was put where the beach once stood was comforting to look at while I sat and waited to see how close high tide would come to my parking area... I didn't like how close it seemed to get .. the area didn't feel welcoming or safe at all and being right on the corner of the highway headlights and noise were very frequent. When you see the beach coming from Winnie (High Island) go past the first house you see which is light sea foam green and we were at the entrance before the 2nd house you see! It’s easy to pull in and the sand is packed so no worries getting stuck! The Johnny on the spot are there too! Read moreWell I know all things change and most is in God's hands. That being said the beach was clean of trash but has washed away not much beach but it was good to come back down. The motel has changed hands room was clean and nice but we could only get one channel tv and the pool was not being taken care of (we Did Not swim in it) the restaurant may have been good but I don't know didn't eat there ( don't like sushi ) but all in all we had a nice time.
