Old Jail Museum Complex — Attraction in Texas

The two volunteers I met here today were awesome; knowledgeable and proud of what they have at this museum. The prison itself is the only structure that is in its original location. However, the other structures are historic, but have been relocated there for preservation. Check hours before you go as they close in mid December and font reopen until February. I stopped in on my way through Palo Pinto back to Mineral Wells. I arrived right when they had opened and the two volunteers that were on the premises gave me a great detailed history of the Jail and Palo Pinto County. It was really cool seeing a lot of the original and replica historical items. I definitely plan on taking my boys back there one...

Wonderful historical site with several out buildings to look around in. The grounds are well kept and the visitors center had nice friendly people to tell you about the displays. Go on a cool day because most of it isn't air conditioned. The main jail has A/C but the cabin and other buildings...
