When it hasn't been raining, the water in Spring Creek is pretty low, but still enough to enjoy a swim. But when it's been raining, the water is much higher, and the current is strong. A float is recommended when the water level is high, you could easily float a mile or more. The beach is generally not too crowded, and the trails are long enough that you can walk for a decently long time without even seeing anybody else. This park is like an oasis, you don't get any noise from cars, and if you walk down the creek a bit, you won't even hear people from the beach areas, and you can swim anywhere in the creek. This is a great place to bring children, it's very family friendly, and there are so many places you can go and see nature and learn about the plants in the area. I personally haven't seen much animal life outside of some birds, but I would imagine that if you really went looking, you could find most any type of animal. I recommend Pundt Park for anybody who has kids or dogs, because there are so many trails and places to find the creek, and when I went last time, I saw several trailers of horses, which makes sense because there are many miles of equestrian trails here. And one thing that I really enjoy about the trails is that they are mostly covered by woods, so even in the middle of the day, you will get 90% shade while walking the trails, which is great in the summer.

I originally only came here for the dog park, which are great, but the real crown jewel for me is Spring Creek. The water is pretty clean, the beach too, and you don't have to have n river shoes. It is mostly pretty shallow, and the deeper parts are easy to see. The current is not strong, so it is perfect for even small children and dogs. It's like a mini Galveston only prettier, cleaner, quieter, safer, and less crowded. As for the dog parks, I really like that they have parking nearby. Having the large and small parks side by side is also great because friends meeting up can still talk and hang out even if their dogs are not sized for the same park. It is pretty shady all day too over the majority of both parks. I wish they had a dog and people fountain like Meyer Park has though. There is a spigot here and usually a bucket though. This is now my preferred park to frequent. Not much else I could want from a park.

Great park space in north Harris County, that’s along Spring Creek. This is a small park, that also includes a large dog park, with it’s own walking path. This park has plenty of paved walking trails that are close to the creek. Pundt Park offers access to the Spring Creek Greenway Trail, a 16-mile paved hike and bike trail currently connecting Dennis Johnston Park, Stahl Preserve, Carter Park, Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center , and Highway 59 in Humble. There are also picnic tables, and children’s activity areas. There is also a primitive canoe launch area. Today’s hike found ripe Muscadines all over the trails.

Was quiet, peaceful compared to what I’m used to. Found some large mouth bass action. Even the loud kids who occasionally walked by quieted down when they saw I was fishing. Only threw 1 rock for a tik- tok video! I’m joking, sort of… kid definitely threw a rock in where I was fishing haha. Anyways, what’s new? Was a beautiful day and an awesome place to enjoy it! Some minimal patience with the occasional passerby and you’re back in nature in a beautiful place. Highly recommend, even if youre just driving through.

I see this as a secret location in North Houston/Spring with sand. This would be a perfect place to film Nature Feels by Frank O Besides the point this park is definitely a gem that is hidden in the city. This is the only park I've seen that has a canoe area and also has a part that is something like a beach. If you have dogs they will love this beach area, and this is a great place to gaze at the stars if your into that.
