Went here twice and it’s nice and beautiful but the thing that bothers me is the 2 times we went - 1st time a couple had their 2 golden retrievers in the swimming part where we were swimming with our kids, family and friends, I told the couple dogs were not allowed in that part of the water but they didn’t care, I called the office to report it and they didn’t seem to care but reaffirmed no dogs allowed in the swimming part but did nothing about it
Last weekend a couple with their daughter let their German shepherd dog in the water and it actually peed and so until the male his dog was not allowed in the water right there and he just got belligerent and was like who are you the park police, then another family started cheerleading him on talking crap to me - I call the front like 10 times - no answer so I went to the front and she said she already got a call and someone would be down there shortly- well after 20 minutes a truck goes by and I stopped them and let them know what was going on They went and explained to the jerk that their dog was not allowed in the swimming section - well right after the elderly couple who works there left, he let his dog go back in the water for the next hour and no one ever came back to enforce their rule and all that jerk did was smile so we didn’t go back in the water which sucks because we paid to swim but jerks like ruined it They should just stop letting dogs in their park because some people think they are...
Read moreI would have given this park 5 star if Sunday would have been as nice as Friday and Saturday. There is a pavilion next to the campsites which is nice. We had a relative’s birthday party Saturday there, knowing people where in their campsites, we made sure our kids weren’t loud, played in the area of the pavilion or the playground and stayed off the campsites area so they wouldn’t disturb other campers (we were camping too). Sunday there was another group having a party on the pavilion, they had loud speakers (yes, loud speakers are aloud from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and there is no set volume limit) at full volume which could be heard all the way across the field and down by the fishing pier. Loud music, long loud speeches, and to end it all their guests park at the in front of the driveway so to our campsite, we were told by the park personnel that we could drive out going through the field behind the campsite. But with so many kids running around that is not safe. I would not camp here on a weekend again, only on weekdays, because otherwise is a fantastic park. And they unplug our trailer and plug their speakers from our campsite power as our campsite was the first one after the pavilion. Did not one tell them what they could or...
Read moreLet me start off with I’m only rating this park a one star is because of the woman I spoke with who I guess work or owned the park. This is a gorgeous park, I loved it. My son loved it! We like to explore new parks and to be honest this is our top one!
I understand the park closed at 9, we were driving off at 9:01 and the gate was locked and closed!!! I drove around trying to find someone and when I finally saw someone at the gate I drove straight there. Whoever this lady was; was extremely rude! “ you’re supposed to be gone at 9” I told her I was getting my son in the car who didn’t want to leave because he was having so much fun. She smirked and laughed at me saying “ get out at 9”. If someone is explaining to you that this was their first time there and they lost track of time and it was barely 9:01 you don’t treat people that way! She would be the only reason why I would never go back.
Besides this experience, it’s a gorgeous...
