Savannah Sports Pool & Regional Recreation — Attraction in The Villages

We drove 2 1/2 hours each way to get a chance to see the Wizards of Winter, a fantastic Christmas rock band very similar to the Trans Siberian Orchestra, but not yet very well known. They were quite a bit more personable. I had discovered their music through Pandora's algorithm a couple years ago, and each year I've looked to see if they were coming anywhere near Florida. I couldn't believe it! They were coming to the Villages this year! The Savannah Center was very pleasant. Parking was great. I stayed afterwards to have the entire cast sign all three of my CDs. We just went to see Straight No Chaser at the Savannah Center three days after Christmas. Sold out crowd. Even the "nosebleed seats" were within a hundred fifty feet or less...

Saw the group "Badfinger" at the venue and was surprised at how everything was and how it went. Firstly, parking was awesome and very close to the front door. We arrived 30 minutes early and were still able to park up front. The foyer, as you walk in was thoroughly populated with numerous comfy couches full of nice pillows. The atmosphere was relaxed and the bar was open with reasonably priced cocktails along with beer and wine. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible throughout the place. Seating was very easy to get to, and the chairs were folding but very comfortable with padded seats and backs. Overall a wonderful experience. I plan on seeing more shows there, and would highly recommended it to friends...

Saw a tribute band here recently..... I will leave it at that. First and probably last "tribute" show. Venue itself is very nice. Staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. Sat in seats that we thought were in first few rows of upper section BUT ended up being in the very last row. Still not bad, and actually are best since we could actually stand and not bother anyone behind us. Had to stand as the seats are sort of tight and I'm not that large Show was at the start of a slight cold front and the theater was way too warm. Heat wave warm. Uncomfortable.
