Cattail Park Dog Park — Attraction in The Woodlands

Plenty of room for dogs to enjoy, love the area with the pools so plenty of space for your dogs to take a dip- I suggest a towel to dry them off if your don't want them soaked.. I've been coming here for the last month nearly everyday and enjoy seeing my dog not interact with all dogs (kidding of course), she mainly just walks around and watches others play but doesn't know how to jump in so she stays by the humans. My only two issue is that in the last few weeks grass has not been mowed - understandable with all the rain we've had, however it is getting to the point where there are now covered holes (due to the thick grass) and I've stepped in two already while going to pick up after my dog. Last Tuesday a crew came out and I had noticed only the small dog park and a few places on the outside had been mowed, so why not the bigger dog park?

Another issue I have noticed is owners bringing their smaller dogs into the bigger side, it wouldn't be too much of an issue but for example last evening (2021/07/18) a man's small breed dogs were getting into the faces of bigger dogs and then would lunge (not in a playful way) at said bigger dogs including my girl. He did nothing and if we large breed owners did nothing to control ours, we would've been held liable for the damages to his dog's - which isn't fair and is why their is another enclosed space for small breeds. But if you know your dog(s) go after other dogs in a not playful way, you need to do something to control them or leave.

Also, please be courteous and pick up and dispose after your dog. If you see or are told your dog has made a bowel movement it is your responsibility to pick...

I only rated this four because there is a larger dog park with lots of hills and running space nearby but this place is really nice. It has two separate enclosures one for small dogs, one for large dogs, but most of the time they all mix together in the large dog area. Water and bowls are available as well as a spray hose for cooling off. Covered areas with benches for dog mommies, and daddies to chat. There is a walking trail that goes around the entire park area, including the playgrounds, tennis courts, and ballfields. I’ve been using this area instead of Teramont Park for years because it has a Homie feel where many of the same people come at the same time each day and get to know each other and the pets get to...

The park is good but people should clean up after their dogs. Not the parks fault. Those are the same people that don't put their shopping cart back and just leave them in a parking spot and ding up your ride....
