Great place to walk (leashed dogs)/run/blade if you don't mind avoiding goose/duck waste. City does regularly clean extensive sidewalks, but there are large amounts of waterfowl here, and one small wildlife resting area. Plenty of benches around lake, some picnic tables but only one small gazebo. Fishing in stocked lake, kayaking, rowboats; no motorized boats or vehicles of any kind allowed. Exercise stations, playground, basketball, toilets. Big open grass areas on north side. Muskrats in lake sometimes pop up, red-tailed hawks and an occasional fox or coyote show up. I personally saw an American Bittern (bird) fishing; although I had no idea what it was at the time and had to look it up, i guess its a rare sighting...
Read moreI frequent lake arbor as I live within a 2 minute walking distance. I love to walk around the lake at sunset. It's also a great place to rollerblade, or longboard. The view over the water to the West is INCREDIBLE. You can't help but feel the magic in the downgoing of the sun. The playground is quaint, but perfectly fit to the area. There's plenty of benches along the water, and two docks with lots of space to dink around on. Definitely dont get in the water, just look at it. The mosquitos come out at night, though. Be careful of those as you're crossing the bridge on the East side...

There were people kayaking on the lake while we were there and my dogs went for a little swim. My issue is the geese poop which I know is kind of hard to manage, but there are virtually no shade trees aside from the playground. There are picnic tables all around the lake and only a couple of them that I saw resided under trees. Love that my dogs can swim here, but probably not my first park choice on a...
