We went to Pepper Tree Playfield so my son could ride his bike around the perimeter of the field without having to cross streets. This is a HUGE field! It's about 0.8 miles for a single time around. The park is below street level, so there are descents both by car and on the surrounding path to reach the field's level. There are grassy areas on either end of the field, with softball/baseball diamonds in the center. They have dugouts and bleachers, as well. There are also 2 new playgrounds for 2-4 and 5-7 year-olds. There are bathrooms and an interactive electronic game that kids can play to hit buttons as they light up, or add electric guitar riffs to rock music that is being played through speakers. AMENITIES 3 ADA Parking Stalls 120 Bleacher Seating 4 Bleachers 1 Outdoor Basketball Court 113 Parking Stalls 1 Picnic Structures (First come/first served) 4 Picnic Tables (First come/first served) 1 Playground 1 Recreational Walking Path (0.83 mile distance) 4 Restrooms 4 Soccer Fields (Reservable; no lights) 2 Softball Fields (Reservable; lighted from sunset to 10pm)

Been going to this park for almost a decade. It has everything. There’s a “track” you can run on (0.83 mile for a big loop, or 1mile if you do a ‘figure 8’). And on the 0.5mile loop, there are workout stations that you can do (monkey bar, pull up bar, sit up, push up, parallel bars, etc). Some afternoon, there might be kids soccer clubs practicing and softball teams playing. But the field is big enough for others too. You can also take your dogs for a walk. There’s also a kids playground area, and a gazebo with benches & tables. Such a perfect park for every needs.

This park usually has a soccer tournament Thanksgiving weekend. We usually go to but this year did not get to play because of poor communication between the city and the region manager for ayso. It was terrible driving all the way and the disappointment brought after all the hard work. The parking is limited around this park and they will gladly give you a big ticket if you park in the surrounding areas making it difficult on families that come from farther away. We made sure to get there a little early to get a parking spot. We can't control the weather but there is a chance of bad weather at any time in the year. If the park is not stable for rain plan ahead to cancel. There was plenty of warning from the forecast that was very accurate this time. I would warn families that there are more cons than pros...

The boys had water polo at Newbury, Hi school and sister joined me from work and we are always walking Bella, the chihuahua and we drove there and it was a fantastic large open green space, mouthy adult soccer players were exercising, there was a softball training group and people enjoying their evening walks, nice bathrooms, a children playground, shady lunch areas and you could appreciate the large area at any spot you are located, keeping an eye on everyone. I had no specific reason to be there other than to explore and I would like to go back with a picnic basket, kids, family...
