Angel Island is a nice day adventure. We kayaked over from Sausalito and were lucky enough to stay overnight in the old garrison as we were with ETC guides. The ferry from Sf and Sausalito takes you to the Island. 360 degree views from the middle of the bay. It was the "Ellis Island of tbe West" so a venture to the Immigration Center is a must.
