St. Hilary Catholic Church — Attraction in Tiburon

This is a very nice parish with excellent people who are now the priests giving mass. Father O'Dell helped plan my grandfather's mass in 2004 in the spring with an amazing music program they have so thankful they were so helpful to me and my mother at that time.

The family mass is wonderful and the speakers are well prepared unlike any other parish in Marin. It is a simple parish, but at the same time, beautiful in the simplicity of the church. It is not ornate, nor offensive exuding peace and comfort as a Catholic parish should much like the Mission in San Luis Obispo, CA providing a lot of reflection time in the quiet surroundings.

Always thankful to Father O'Dell for helping us in such a difficult time after years of pain for my mother, my grandfather, my spouse and me. It is the best place to have a mass for a family member with music you will never forget you can plan with the music director who is simply...

The Catholic church has been broadening its horizons lately in an effort to reach out to the community and attract more parishioners and St Hillary's in Tiburon is probably the best example of how it all really works the pastor has integrated the entire Mass with four musicians who were Top notch both vocally and playing their instruments with a contemporary that's tied in with the message the pastor is delivering. Some people might complain it's too much of a "show" cuz I look through the congregation it seems like the spirit was definitely there and the people were moved in all the right ways I give it five stars St Hillary's is...

Lovely small church. 9:00 Mass has 6 piece band and lots of visuals on TV screens. Homily was very articulate. Celebrant did the red and said the black, thanks be to God. Very little assembly participation in singing— more a worship performance than a congregational experience. Homily would not have been out of place at a Unitarian church. Drums too loud for the space, even using rods. Suggest brushes only. Violin also somewhat overpowering though beautifully played. If I visit again, will probably opt for the Vigil Mass or the 7:30...
