I was looking around for wedding venues in my area for April of 2025. I found Bella Sala online and reached out to ask questions about the venue and learn other information the website didn't offer. Through email, were very helpful at first. They were amazing in answering many questions promptly, and had me set up a tour to come visit. Between my first email and the date of my tour, I had been emailing with the same lady who was answering all of my questions and also who I was going to tour with. It came around to just 2 days before our tour and I get an email from a different staff member also asking to set up a tour and offering to answer my questions. This was very confusing because I had already been working directly with someone for the past week and had a tour scheduled. In this email, they stated my preferred date was no longer available. I emailed back and asked for clarification as I was unsure why they were reaching out a second time when I had a tour scheduled and if my date was or was not available. After this, all communication went silent. The first employee, the second employee, all phone calls, and voicemails were left unanswered. Throughout the process Melissa and JP were incredibly responsive and helpful. I went back and forth on linen/decor options and Melissa was very patient with me! The team at Bella Sala worked with my budget to create simple, elegant centerpieces for which we received lots of compliments.
We had an October wedding and the family pictures we took outside at the waterfall are gorgeous. We were fortunate to not have to share the venue with another wedding on the other side of the partition, so the lobby, bar, and bathroom were all ours. It worked out really well and we were able to get the sports events on the TV's that our guests wanted to watch. I think it may have been different if there was another wedding at the same time, because many of our guests spent time in the lobby.
We worked with JP ahead of time to estimate wine and beer amounts for our hosted bar. We were disappointed to find out that our pre-purchased wine ran out within a half an hour from the start of our reception. Throughout the night we purchased 3x our initial amount at a 20% markup. They treat their staff very poorly (which is understandable because 90% of them are very rude!). They usually are also understaffed.
Their rates are exorbitantly high for what they offer and they usually will try and slip in several add on services that they never discuss with you (Including a cleaning fee when their cleaning company does not properly have the equipment to adequately clean the facilities to begin with become they refuse to invest in proper tools and/or rate of services).
They also do not adequately pay their vendors or pay their other bills on time and always have complaints on all sides of them trying to nickel and dime everything down.
Overall I would find the venue to be con artist looking for every penny they can skimp and overcharge to others including shorting their employees and venders.
