Our 1st time visiting Sand Castle Winery and not disappointed at all. When we drove up the drive and turned the corner, to see a sand castle in a vineyard, just brought a smile to my face. The castle is beautiful with stunning views. Very nice selection of wines. I had the dry riesling and my husband had the sangria. Both are very good. We came with friends and they LOVE the alpine spice! They had a nice fruit and cheese tray for purchase or you can bring snacks. Nice, comfortable seating areas or you can sit under the tent at table. Sand Castle has performers come and we saw The John DeRosa band. A shout out to John and Joey for an AMAZING performance. Check out the website for events. I can't say enough about our relaxing and beautiful evening. Looking forward to returning soon!

I came here for my mom's birthday and we had an excellent time! The space was beautiful with a medieval flare and the views of the vineyard and the river are stunning. Scott gave us a tour of the vineyard and showed us the types of grapes grown on the property, the cellar where its produced and gave us all kinds of information about the types of wine created here. We did our tasting with Mark and he was amazing: kind, friendly, charming, and super knowledgeable about the wines and good pairings for them. After the tasting he took us to have a closer look into the vineyard and showed us the differences between chardonnay and pinot grapes. All in all, a five star experience that I'm going to reccomend to all my friends.

My daughter (far end) surprised me (in the hat) with a birthday visit to the Sand Castle winery and it was a great treat. My sister and niece were the ultimate surprise. Our host, Brian was the absolute BEST! His humor and knowledge of their wines, and food pairings had me captivated. I was all giggles. Brian went above and beyond to, not only recommend a restaurant not too far away, but to sketch directions, roads and all. The only things missing were longitude and latitude coordinates (he has serious artistic skills 🥰). I will definitely be making a return visit! Perhaps on one of their comedy happy hour nights. You gotta love the Cuvee!!!!! Best wine ever…

TOUR IS A WASTE OF MONEY. Standing in the parking lot, the “guide” points to the different vine in each direction, the ones here are this, the ones behind the building this, the ones on the driveway are this (a few mins) and then let’s see the cellar and wine process setup (few minutes) done. NOT A TOUR OF THE VINEYARD as advertised on the website and Groupon “Tour and Wine Tasting Tour our vineyard and enjoy 12 estate grown wines during this fun…” A parking lot view of distant vines and few minute cellar seeing, not a Vineyard tour of anything related to their 70+ acres. The tasting was good, but difunctional. We had a 3pm tour and tasting, were seated with for a tasting, provided the history and tasting…again the same info said during the tour about the vines around the building. Had to figure out where the tour was then after the tasting, as nothing was said or directed. Asking the bar help, the “guide” was outside already, and to see he started before us and another group were there too. from seeing the cellar, tells the same thing about each vine mentioned during the tasting. Very sad experience after visiting other wineries across Pennsylvania and can say it was the worst tour and most dysfunctional setup. To drive an hour plus, spend good money, and have this experience is a reason that I would not recommend to anyone, or visit again.

The staff is short and we recognize that, and commend the bar staff and the girl who was running around like crazy but if this is how tours and tastings are coordinated,...

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Went for wine tasting and after paying at the register you are directed to go to the side bar. While at the side bar patiently waiting, the connoisseur greets my friend and I with "Did you pay?" and all others with thank you for coming and wine glasses.Thinking nothing of it our response was yes. The guy then walks off and prepares the placing for everyone except for us. After traveling such a distance to get to the vineyard we began to rationalize his actions and informed the guy that we are here as well for wine tasting may we have a glass. The individual gives my friend and I a piece of paper with a list of wines and ask again "Did you pay", now we are at the point realizing he does not want to service us. My friends responds once again "Yes we have paid" and the guy walks off as if he was preparing to get our wine glasses, but yet he begins pouring wine for everyone except for my friend and I. What topped off everything, another couple joins and right away the guy brings wine glasses and the list of wines and start pouring the other couple wine. By now we are completely upset of how we were treated and we left. Clearly this was an act of discrimination, with being the only 2 African American females at the tasting you can not think any different for the reason that we were...

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Sand Castle Winery! From the beginning to the end, we were impressed and could not have asked for a better experience. Because of covid 19, we had to postpone our original wedding celebration but decided that we still wanted to have a small, intimate ceremony and reception with our loved ones; Sand Castle Winery was the perfect place for this and far exceeded our wedding dreams. The venue itself was beautiful, the views of the vineyard are so dreamy. The wine was amazing. When I first inquired about planning a wedding (in less than 3 weeks time), Dean was prompt and receptive in answering all of my questions. The preferred vendors he gave us were excellent and helped make our planning smooth and on the day of, everyone worked really well together to bring my vision to life. Dean is really an amazing event coordinator that was always quick to respond, super easy to work with, and helped make our day perfect to the tee. If you want a beautiful, stress-free day, I would highly recommend having your event here! I would also recommend coming to visit the winery to relax with some wine as well, the staff is always super nice, the outside patio has great views and is an excellent place to relax with a glass of wine! Thank you Sand...
