Between Frenchtown, NJ and Point Pleasant, PA this bridge, also known as the Bucks County Covered Bridge, is located in the quaint and beautiful village of Erwinna, PA. Stunning to behold. Covered bridges are such wonderful "time machines" that make you think of the horses and carriages that traversed them before all of the cars. This is another one that was right under our noses for decades, and we never found it. We just needed to venture a little further west off of River Road. So, given that revelation, I have both broadened and focused my map searches of late. Covered bridges aren't the only joys we've found... preserved farms, old canal artifacts and structures, breathtaking British Colonial-Era stone homes, and aqueducts are among our amazing discoveries.
