The Historic Ohio Theatre - Toledo, OH — Attraction in Toledo

Just went here last night for a show! Given this is a historical theatre and it is very old I can’t really complain about the looks!! The area is not the safest area in Toledo so going there was a little scary... I think if they are going to continue to keep it up and running they should do a few updates like the chairs for instance age teeny tiny, I am not a bigger girl and they were snug for me and very uncomfortable, and secondly there is no A/C it was a little too hot in there. Overall it was a fun experience, the staff was nice, and they offered snacks and alcohol...

Beautiful theater! Needs some restoration, but hard to get theater funding!

Went to see a Children's theater workshop performance today. CTW has gone quite liberal with the casting of roles, including flying an lgbtq+ flag. Definitely not historically accurate role casting in this shows set in the 20s. Difficult to hear some of the actors and actresses, but overall a nice venue and experience.

My son has done several plays here with Children's Theatre Workshop. It's a super versatile space and they have been able to do lots of completely different plays there. I attached a few pictures. The inside of the theatre has been completely remodeled but still has the historic detail and feel. The outside of the theatre is scheduled to began being remodeled later this year and I hear they are trying to restore it back to as original as possible. Can't wait...
