Sandlewood Manor — Attraction in Tomball

I was the first South Asian multi-day event to happen at this venue. There were a lot of both positive and negative things that happened. I will say this though, I do recommend them for one day events. However, if having more than one day at this venue I DO NOT recommend.

Pre Planning: I felt as if my planner and myself were constantly having to contact the venue coordinator to get answers. Never at any point did I feel reassured. I felt like every meeting was completed far too late according to my planner's preferred timeline. The venue coordinator never returned answers or questions when she said she would in a timely matter. I know several details were missed throughout the entire weekend though I personally reminded the venue coordinator throughout meetings. I again never trusted the venue coordinator and had several serious conversations with the owner and was promised that more attention would be given to my wedding and it never was. Again, if you are doing a one day event I definitely think they are more than capable of handling your event, however not for a large cultural multi day weekend.

Issues: Now my wedding unfortunately occurred during very cold temperatures causing many things to malfunction. I do understand weather is outside the control of the venue, however resolutions to problems should be fast and quick, which did not happen at all. These are the following issues and problems I had during my wedding weekend:

-I was promised breakfast (pastries, baked good, something light) all weekend for myself, groom, and my parents....we never got ANYTHING.

-There was no hot water in the bridal suite or main bathroom the WHOLE WEEKEND. So we had to wake up extra early to all take showers one at a time.....it never was fixed the whole weekend.

-The elevator broke and never was fixed during the weekend. My poor mother who has arthritis had to go up and down flights of stairs constantly all weekend.

-On friday night during my event, the bathrooms stopped working, this was probably the most embarrassing issue. However, this is not a norm. It was due to the water freezing due to the temperatures, but still very embarrassing for my guests.

-There was a water leak in the kitchen on thursday night

-Golf cart transportation being provided to the bride was forgotten about unless asked

-The day of the wedding my groom could not get into his quarters until someone woke up and answered our barrage of phone calls even though we were promised the entire property for the weekend

-Our mimosa bar for the morning of the wedding for the bridal suite was forgotten of

-The keg promised to the groom suite morning of the wedding was forgotten of, later promised to be brought out during cocktail hour never was so we never got it at all

-We packed up sunday late morning and again did not have access to the property when we needed to pack up items in the ballroom hall

Again. I do not want this review to seem as if the experience was terrible. It was a dream come true, however I would not suggest this venue for a cultural multi day weekend event. I do however suggest this venue for a one day event. In conclusion, I wish there were more staff readily available to me, vs. me the bride calling and texting them. My planner and I had the absolute worst communication possible with the venue coordinator. It was the most anxiety driven experience ever. It made the wedding planning process a complete...

Down a quiet road and around the bend you will travel back in time as you make your way to Sandlewood Manor. Come with me as a take you on a journey to the most picturesque beauty of a wedding venue. Upon turning into this gated beauty canopied by embracing oak trees, your eyes may first be set on horses grazing in the field or perhaps you may first notice a beautiful gazebo reaching out and overlooking a pond surrounded by majestic trees, but then your eyes will fall upon the Manor, Sandlewood Manor! A beautiful fountain will welcome you at the front of the manor. As you walk across the front porch and enter into the foyer your breath will be taken away from the grandeur of this architectural masterpiece. Here your eyes may first fall on the glistening crystal chandeliers hanging to the left, right and up above. Directly to your right your eyes will set it's sight on the sitting room with its inviting grand piano or they may fall upon the staircase that leads to the Bridal and Overnight Suites.

Sandlewood Manor is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have had the pleasure to host my daughter's wedding reception. This venue is absolutely gorgeous! With its breathtaking views both inside and out, Sandlewood Manor is the place to hold your wedding reception or any function you may want to host. But for our family and for me in particular, the people who were chosen or assigned to assist us made it all the more a beautiful place to hold this special special day. Ashley, our coordinator, was delightful and absolutely wonderful! She listened intently to our ideas to achieve the ambiance of this place to match the love and beauty of the couple celebrating their union. She was attentive to us all down to the last detail. Ashley took the time to speak to us even when we showed up unexpectedly. I am forever grateful for her patience and kindness.

La Rue Catering, the in-house caterer for Sandlewood Manor is unbelievably amazing!! Everything was delicious!! Everything was so amazing at the tasting it was hard to choose what we were to serve our guest for the wedding. During the cocktail hour, our guests were treated on the most mouthwatering appetizers imagined. For the reception, we chose to do buffet style to best accommodate our guest. We also chose to do a late-night snack which wowed our crowd! I can not express enough how wonderful it was to work with La Rue Catering. Chef Andrew and Mrs. Karen along with the abundant staff should be most commended for their professionalism and service!!!

Though there were hiccups along the way and we had many last-minute guests cancel due to hurricane Ida and immediate family covid patients, we could not have been happier having our daughter’s wedding at Sandlewood Manor. From the moment we stepped onto the picturesque grounds, we were captivated by the natural beauty and elegance of this venue. Lindsey and her team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect.

The ceremony in the wedding chapel was a dream come true, with its intimate and charming atmosphere setting the perfect tone for the occasion. The reception in the ballroom was nothing short of spectacular - its grandeur and timeless elegance left our guests in awe.

The cocktail hour in the Beautiful Manor was a delightful experience, providing a seamless transition from the ceremony to the reception. It allowed our guests to enjoy the stunning surroundings while savoring delectable hors d'oeuvres.

Our guests especially enjoyed spending time on the grounds, feeding the horses, and taking in the serene scenery around the pond. It added an extra layer of magic to the day.

Lindsey, in particular, was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is the sweetest person we've ever met and was incredibly supportive throughout the entire planning process. Her expertise and guidance were invaluable, and she truly made us feel like family.

What truly sets Sandalwood Manor apart is their commitment to personalization. Lindsey and her team took the time to understand our vision and executed it flawlessly. The flexibility and support they provided were second to none.

Sandalwood Manor created an atmosphere of romance and sophistication that surpassed our expectations. Our daughter's wedding was a fairytale thanks to this remarkable venue and the incredible team, especially Lindsey. We are forever grateful for the memories they helped us create.
