Very disappointed! This was our third time to visit this place and this time it tanked. First, there was a party of individuals who had a dog who just let wonder around. I am a dog lover, in fact have 2 of my own. They didn't put it on a leash, just let it wonder from table to table. It whinned constantly for my food. I tried to ignore it but it eventually gets very annoying. The owners did nothing, just watched and allowed it to happen. The 2 ladies at the counter were either drunk or stoned beyond belief. I like to have a good time, but you have to be able to be to help your customers. I was at the counter, asked a few questions, turned around to grab something from the fridge when another lady, who has no manners ignored that I was getting something, and my wallet was on the counter. Turned around to check out and was shocked at the fact she was over my wallet and ordering. I should have just grabbed my wallet and left. The lady at the counter didn't care if she was serving me or not. All the lady did was ignore me and didn't apologize for fiddling with my wallet. I paid for my cake, but the lady was to drunk I already paid for it, and made me pay again. Thank goodness my bank recognized a duplicate charge and I got a credit back. Sad I have to post...
Read moreTontitown is such a special place, rooted in Southern-Italian tradition. My now-husband took me there for my birthday a few years ago and I fell in love with the winery and the couple that owns and operates it. Heather and David are just the best people you'll ever meet. Southern charm and hospitality are their niche - and the wine speaks for itself. Not only did we get married at Tontitown Winery, but that was our usual hang-out spot. On Fridays & Saturdays from May through October, you could find us enjoying the nice cool evenings with wine-ritas, local food truck grub, and live local music at their Sippin' & Singin' events! I can't speak highly enough about this place and the people. It will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. Every time we come home to NWA, we visit and fellowship. This is not your average wedding venue. And of course, we felt like we got a steal. It is definitely one of the most cost/budget-friendly venues in the area. We had our wedding outside on the patio, but their new indoor event space is absolutely divine and will be perfect for fall and winter weddings. We couldn't be more grateful for our experience with Tontitown Winery and the...
Read moreSo disappointed. I really liked several of the wines--the white muscadine was amazing. The white port and the cranberry were also good and I would have liked to get bottles of all of them, but I was treated so poorly that I just couldn't spend any more money there. When I arrived, there was no one in the shop area so I meandered for a moment. The front counter woman saw me from a back room and did say hello but nothing else. When I asked about the wines she had no inclination to say anything about them. She allowed me to take my pups to the covered patio but didn't bother to offer to turn on the heaters and certainly didn't offer any water to my dogs. Now, I don't expect anyone to go out of their way for my pups but I spotted the dog bowl on the patio and I've found it generally to be the practice. The entire time we sat on the patio (20mins or so) not a single person checked on us or anything. I got a flight and a meat and cheese plate which was really very well done (fruit, nuts, meats, cheeses, even pickled okra!). The service just completely turned me off and we just left. Such a shame. That white muscadine was really amazing--the smell alone would have been worth a...
