We camped in Settlement canyon over the Labor Day weekend (2023). Quiet and serene. Close enough to Tooele for restaurants, stores and gas. We found plenty to do. We drove up Middle Canyon to the overlook for the Kennicott mines. Another day, we went to Chubby's in Tooele. We attempted the drive to find Geodes, but was discouraged by rough roads. In turn, we saw a heard of wild mustangs and flowers in an abundance.
As you pass the kiosk and pay the fee, employees are super friendly and ready to make suggestions on things to do.

Read moreWas not impressed by the cleanliness of the campgrounds. Our fire-pit had a broken florescent light, a few beer bottles and a garbage bag full of used cat liter/poop. Behind the rv pad near the creek there was an old discarded sewer hose form someone's trailer and a used cat box sitting in the trees, dog poop all over the camp site. Also, the price on the websites says the fee is $25, they actually charged me...
