Queeny is arguably one of the best places to run in STL. It isn't super busy during the day and is practically a ghost town in late fall to mid-spring. Although it isn't the most popular park in the area, it is maintained excellently and always has cops on patrol. Read moreQueeny Park is one of my favorite places to hike in the St. Louis area—beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect mix of nature and accessibility.
The trails are well-marked and offer a good variety, whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll or something more brisk and hilly. You’ll find paved paths, wooded sections, open fields, and even a few scenic overlooks. It’s especially gorgeous in the fall and spring!
There’s plenty of parking, clean restrooms, and spots to rest or picnic along the way. Bonus points for being dog-friendly—my pup loves it just as much as I do.
Whether you’re hiking solo, meeting a friend for a walk, or just looking to get a little movement in, Queeny Park delivers a solid outdoor escape close to the city.
