Wade's Farm & Home Inc — Attraction in Town of Addison

I am quite disappointed. I bought a bag of rabbit feed here on 10/03 and checked the mill date (date is was made) when I got home. It was set to be at its 6 month date within a week or so. Manufacturer recommends 3 months for best freshness, 6 months as a stretch and possible loss of integrity. I called Wades to see if I could exchange the bag.

From there, I got push back to the effect of 'if its not moldy, it should be fine.' 'I check all of the dates.' 'I haven't had any complaints.' Finally it was agreed to have my bag replaced.

In the meantime, I'm calling the manufacturer to get more info on the shelf life and what to expect. After talking with 2 representatives from the company, it was determined that I should NOT be feeding that bag, return it. The sales rep for this area talked directly to Wades and was told there would be a fresh bag waiting for me.

I went back, exchanged bags only to find out this bag was almost 5 months old!! I called the sales rep back and she told me she would contact Wades again. Come to find out, there was no fresh feed at this location. She told me she would hand deliver me a fresh bag (to PA when company is from VT!!) and to just toss the bag I just picked up..
