We stayed here July 14-16, 2023. We sent the email below on Sunday to the email provided, and I sent it again on July 18th through their Facebook messenger. Today is July 19th, and we didn’t hear anything back. It pains me to write a bad review, and I wouldn’t have posted this had she responded. An apology would have gone a long way. I have several pics, but it won’t let me post them. Hi Betty, I will start with the positives. The bathhouses are very nice and clean. The pool was good, although the dead bird was concerning yesterday (no one noticed it was in there besides us for almost an hour). You are a responsive host (you had someone fix the water leak at the site immediately, and you took care of the bird situation as soon as I brought it to your attention). However, overall, this was the worst camping experience that we have ever had. Site 71 should not be rented out. One of the seasonal campers said that it had been an employee’s spot until recently. Since you really couldn’t accommodate a 34’ RV this weekend, you shouldn’t have taken our reservation. It was more of a parking space than an actual site. I asked for a back in site for a reason, and this pull through site was undesirable for many reasons. There was zero privacy whatsoever. The 8 hour yard sale (just steps away from our RV) on Saturday, and then the graduation party on Saturday night, made enjoying the site impossible. There was no picnic table, so sitting outside to eat wasn’t possible either. While it did have a fire ring, we felt that it was rude to use it Saturday night (when we had planned to) because of the party that was going on. We wound up giving away the wood we purchased from you when we drove out today. I was afraid to turn my back when using my grill because people were driving their cars and golf carts in all different directions. I feared for our safety, and I was very worried that someone would sideswipe or t-bone my truck or my RV. I couldn’t even put the awning out all the way because it was too close to the road. We considered leaving yesterday afternoon, but we realized that was impossible due to the way the cars and golf carts were parked around our site (we would not have been able to hook up the RV to the truck). We had high hopes for this trip, as your reviews online are all generally very good. It is disappointing that we will not be able to write a good review.

This place has a LOT of good stuff but for the price you pay, you really would expect more. We rented the A-frame cabin which cost $433 per night after taxes nd we had quite a few disappointments. First, the website really isn't that informative. For that price, you would think there would be towels and, fitted sheets, and blankets. We wish their website would have informed you all the things you know..but instead, they send you an email a few days before your actual reservation of what you need to bring. Below are things we were disappointed about: 1. The website didn't say that the Aframe has this sulfur water that is supposedly good for your skin but it smells like rotten eggs 2. The bathroom has no vents so the whole cabin will smell like rotten eggs. We did open the bathroom window to lessen the smell. 3. There were termites 4. The single bed on the second floor was very wobbly. 5. Beds weren't that comfortable. 6. There is an EV charger but what their website didn't tell you is that it's a $25 flat rate per use. What takes one hour for a supercharger to charge for a Tesla fulltank takes about 10 hours here. 7. LOTS of dog hair. Positives: 1. Nice staff 2. Kids had lots of fun in the playground (they have 2). They have a small area with beach sand. 3. Small arcade with darts, Jenga, etc open 24/7 4. Safe for kids to run around 5. Pool nearby 6. I like that if you want to have a camping/getaway with another family/friend, there's different options depending on diff budget per family, but you can still get together in one camp site. 7. About 30 min from kaaterskill falls and close to other activities like Kayaking 8. If you stay in the Aframe, and you don't want to shower with rotten egg smelled water, there is a communal shower next door. Overall, I think they need better picture for their different lodging and they need to improve their website.

Where to even begin?! If you're looking for a truly unique, comfortable, and fun camping experience then look no further! I booked a group block for my wedding weekend in Catskill (at the Point Park) and Jenny was so easy to collaborate with and the whole Treetopia team was so committed to making sure me and my guests had an amazing experience. My bridesmaids and groomsmen loved staying in the treehouses and all the amenities included, and my other guests LOVED the glamping accommodations as well, said the beds/cots were very comfortable. I made the welcome kits featured in my photos, but the campground threw in some free firewood for my group which I really appreciated for making Smores! We rented the game room the night before the wedding and it was super memorable, laid back time with my closest friends and lots of fun games for all ages. In the morning all my girls got ready in my cabin and it was so so perfect. Thank you Treetopia for hosting us and for soaring beyond all expectations at being a truly premiere and epic campground!! I would reccomend for other wedding groups, family reunions, college friend reunions, or just staying in the Catskills for the week. The treehouses and cabins are amazing and the staff are incredible hosts!!!

We are so excited to have found Treetopia. The staff was very welcoming and the little store is there in case you forget any basic necessities. It's a short ride from the Hudson train station. We love camping but don't always have the time to go on a full out camping trip. Treetopia makes it easy to get out into nature with minimal effort. We chose to stay in one of the tents and our friends stayed in a tree house. We liked the relative privacy of the location of the tents. We had views of trees from our windows and the front of the tent and our little porch faced trees. There was a grill, a picnic table and a firepit And inside of the tent was an ice chest and two battery powered lanterns. We did all of our cooking at our friends' tree house as the setup was a little more elaborate and comfortable. The treehouse had the added amenities of electricity, running water for cleaning dishes (not potable), a larger deck and a propane stove. The treehouse tent was also a bit larger. Ultimately, both options are great. It just depends on how rustic of an experience you want. The communal bathrooms were kept very clean.

The Cabin we stayed in was the A-Frame and my main gripe would be that the amenities were not appropriately disclosed. Beds did not come with linens, other than a fitted sheet which forced us to pack blankets and sleeping bags for an indoor cabin. Secondly is the sulphur smell from the sulphur well that supplies the house with water. Every shower left the house smelling like eggs. The cabin was not cleaned very well and all my kids clothes were covered in dog hair after a few minutes causing my son to have an allergic skin reaction. I booked the cabin after seeing that EV charging was included. Once we arrived, we found out that it was in fact $25 "per use, or plug in" which is higher than a Tesla supercharging rate on the highway. The lodge was fun with old school arcade games and dart boards. The playgrounds and overall campgrounds are kept up immaculately and everything was very clean and tidy. I wouldn't booked again at Treetopia due to the hassles and how much I needed to pack for the items not included.

What's not to love about this campground/resort? Open seasonally, this would be nice to stay for a night or 60. The bathhouse is pristine all new and updated with indoor and outdoor showers. The pool is crystal clean and the surroundings are all kept clean and in great condition. Even without an RV, you have a choice of an A frame cabin, Airstream camper, or even a tree house for rent. Axricities include horseshoes, a pool table, real video games-like MS Paxman and a TV lounge. Thee are always things to do should you choose to participate. The seasonal guests have decks and are very well maintained with flowers and personal touches adding to the community feel without the bad vibes you get from other sites. We truly enjoyed our stay and would add this to our PTRT (places to return to) list.
