THE THEATRICAL RELEASE... We aways enjoy our times at the Vintage Drive In. There were no drive ins back in MI that I could readily go to. When I moved to Rochester I was so happy that there was a drive in in Avon. The big surprises was they have four screens and they run first run movies all for only $9.00 per person for two movies. The snack bar has a great variety of food, drink and snack items at pretty reasonable prices. It is always clean and well maintained and the staff are always friendly. They also have a game room for the kids. It makes for a great night out for our whole family including our dogs.

THE DIRECTOR'S CUT... Drive Ins are becoming a thing of the past. Ones that have all first run movies on four screens are almost non-existant. The Vintage Drive In is one of those rarities located in Avon, NY. They have all first run movies unlike the other drive ins in the area that only run second runs. They are open seven nights a week with the box office opening Monday through Thursday at 8:00 pm and Friday through Sunday at 7:00 pm. To find out the movie start times you need to check out their website as the later in the season the later the movies will start, so movies start times are always changing every week or so. Be prepared to stay until 2:00 am later in the season if you watch both movies.

We go almost every weekend throughout the season. Getting there early gets you a great parking spot. We will arrive about 30 minutes before the box office opens and we are usually within the first five cars in line. They do have separate parking for cars, trucks and SUVs. Trucks, SUVs and any hatchback that you are watching out of the backend have rows in the back so they aren't in the way of cars. The tickets are only $9.00 per person for two first run movies. They also offer a Picnic Pass so you can bring in your own food, it is only $5.00 per car. They also have a full snack bar that offers burgers, fries mozzarella sticks, a "Vintage Plate", fountain and bottled pop, popcorn, pizza and a ton more. They also have a nice game room in the snack bar with several games and pool tables.

You can either sit in your car or if you want the full experience you can sit outside under the stars in the open air and enjoy the movies. We will usually bring our lawn chairs and a cooler with our food. Even when we have our own food we will get some snacks from the snack bar as well. If you bring your own food do purchase a picnic pass, it's only $5.00. If you don't and are caught you can purchase one for $10.00 or you will be asked to leave. Remember theaters pay most of the box office money to the distributors, that is why snacks are so expensive, this is where most of the thester's money comes from. However compared to most standard theaters their food prices are very reasonable.

Dogs are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash at all times when outside. I have seen people asked to leave if their dogs are creating too much of a disturbance, so make sure your dog(s) doesn't react negatively to other dogs or people.

The bathrooms are a little rough looking but always clean and stocked with paper.

Bring your own food, and please pay for a picnic pass, or grab something from their snack bar. The food is great and the prices very reasonable comparatively. If you want to have a great evening at the movies check out Vintage. It is well worth the drive and being able to sit outside and watch movies under the stars makes for a great night with your family.

NOTE: please know how to operate your vehicles headlights. There are usually a couple people with their lights on during the movie and it ruins it for others plus it drains the battery. I usually have to jump one or two cars when leaving, a jump box or cables are always a good thing to have.

Well we used to love this place. It was nice to come on the weekends and watch a movie etc... We have been loyal customers, we have been here every week if not 2 times a week for years now and buy all of our food and snacks there. Today we had an awful experience and I am just apauled by it. We came to watch a new release and there was literally nowhere to park, the screen was packed so we parked way in front which were the only spots really available if you want to see the screen ok. Right after we parked and bought food people pulled in after us parked kiddy corner and very petty decided to complain for no reason at all. We were not bothering anyone where we were parked and this person was just being rude especially since they came after us. We were forced to move by staff and she put us in between 2 cars and could barely fit, not to mention me and my child could not see half of the screen where she put us. Also we were put behind people who had thier trunks poped up so that also obstructed the screen further to our view. By the time this staff member had us moved completely the movie had started so by the time we were moved you lost place of the movie. The people that were being rude and complained took our spot after we were forced to move and took up that spot plus 2 others so they could sit outside the vehicle on both sides (not suposed to sit on the sides of the vehicle btw in a parking spot, suposed to sit in the front of your vehicle only) this was a dirty move because they just did it for an extra parking spot to sit outside their vehicle. We waited weeks for this movie to release and were so excited to come watch it release at Vintage. We spent a fortune on popcorn and snacks to just turn out for an experience like this one. I am totally apauled. It made us feel aweful and insignificant like we were 2nd class citizens. We will no longer be returning or anyone else we know for that matter our business will now be going to...

Update: We visited this past weekend for the 1st time in over a year. Took my kids to see halloween family pics (hocus pocus, nightmare before christmas) with a guest.

The bathroom water gets đŸ”„. They also aired terifier 3 where you can see it in your rear view, when it should have aired on screen 1 or 4 and out of view of the family options. The exits were locked up, too. I had to make my kids look down otw out as a result because otherwise they'd see santa doing some messed up stuff.

They should also have staff come peak around to make sure people aren't being pervy, that no one needs jumped after a movie ends, and that people don't leave their headlights on all night. No policing behavior or anything, but a friendly check in on this type of stuff would be helpful.

I'll go to the Silver Lake location next time I'm in Roc unless I hear from folks I know that these issues are resolved.

Don't order the pretzels, btw.

OP: A bit of drama here and there, but that should be perhaps expected considering this can be a teen hang out apparently.

I also considered writing a quirky review talking about how the golf course jumps from 15 to 18, because they ran out of room, but decided to just drop it as a side note.

For the price it's hard to beat and if you're interested in spending an evening at the drive in you can go in knowing they do an adequate job. Recommended, but know they have a few flaws that will become slightly more noticeable with frequent visits. This might be a major turn off for some visitors. It wasn't...
