$150 for 2 general admissions tickets, a 2 hour drive to the attraction and over an hour waiting in line for the worst scare attraction I've ever been to. At the 1st attraction there is not enough time given between groups so very shortly you are in a traffic jam. There is no one at the beginning of each attraction to help break up the groups to allow for a better experience. Due to everyone being right on top of each other you often missed out the very few scare actors doing their thing. There were barely any scare actors. In many attractions a single actor was bouncing between 2 or 3 jump points. Often there were spaces that should have someone in them but we're empty. There are 13 attractions but on 11 scare ones. Of the scare ones most are very short taking only a few minutes to complete. The asylum however was very long which was nice. While they do state on the website that this is outdoor terrain it is very difficult to navigate. Besides the inclines and declines there are many winding walkways and narrow corridors. The biggest issue is the loose rocks, gravel, and dried leaves in many places. This made people prone to slipping, stumbling and falling on occasion. The website states many times no video or photos in the attractions however this is not enforced. We got stuck behind a group of young women who stopped several times to take selfies. Others notified the security that were on the trails but nothing was done. Only 1 scare actor told them it was not allowed. They claim the midway has a wide food selection but actually only consisted of 3 vendors, 1 which was closed. The ones that were open had very limited selections that were over priced. Even if you wanted to wait in the lines for the food there was no where to eat as the majority of the table tops had piles of trash piled on top. There are only porta potties at the beginning and end of the attraction, no place to stop during. There was a total of 9 porta potties, 4 before entering, 2 in line after going through security, and 3 at the end. They are not maintained either. The ones before security all were out of toilet paper by 8pm. Unless you arrive at opening don't try to park at the front lot. All 5 attendants you pass won't bother to tell you the lot is full until the end where the last one tells you to drive down the road to a public lot. Once in the public lot you need to walk a trail back to the entrance. The trail isn't awful but it was slick with leaves and pine needles. There is a large concrete block at the beginning right in the middle of the path. It is easy to miss due to the limited lighting.
Overall we highly recommend skipping this one. There are a lot of other attractions within 2 hours of this location that offer better scares at...
Read moreThe scariest thing about this experience was the line! I work at an attraction so I know how visitors/customers often exaggerate how long they've waited. I am not kidding when I say that it took me and my group of friends 2 hours & 45 minutes to enter the attraction from the time we joined the line - and we had purchased tickets in advance. We did go on a Saturday night but it was October 12, not close to Halloween.
The line is one, very long, meandering affair and is truly a fire hazard. The entire line is surrounded by tall walls and the queue is made of wood fencing that is approximately 5 feet tall. God forbid there was a fire, you'd have hundreds (maybe several thousand) people trapped. There were no exit points once you joined the line.
We were on the line for approximately 1hr & 15 minutes when we reached the security checkpoint. We assumed that we'd begin the experience after going through security. No, we simply went on the second part of the line that lasted 1hr & 30 minutes. When the staff member stationed near security said it would be another 90 minutes, I thought she was kidding. They do give you the option of joining an expedited line at this point for an additional $30 which brings the total to $100 per person!
So, nearly 3 hours online and the only thing they provide to entertain folks are two, costumed actors, one of whom keeps making the same popping noise using a butane torch. No scary movies on TVs, not Halloween music etc.
The "monster food court" mentioned on the website consisted of two locations, each made up of the same two carnival-type food trucks. The food was super overpriced but who cares since there was NO food left by the time we finished the experience at 1am.
As for the haunted house experience itself, it was decent, if not overpriced. It took approximately 45-50 minutes to explore and I think $40 a person would have been fair. That said, the main problem was the ridiculous line. And because they shoved too many people in there, we often missed out on the "scare" because the actors surprised the group right in front of us.
There is an easy solution for this massive problem - timed ticketing! If you can only accommodate 200 people per hour, sell 100 tickets for every 30 minute time slot. I imagine this company doesn't care as this is a temporary attraction, folding up camp like a traveling circus or snake oil salesman who comes to town, takes your money, and disappears.

Saturday. (10/5) I suggest you get there early around 6:30PM to get an upfront parking spot and get in line! Parking area, near entrance was not organized, people parking every which way, the parking “guys” were arguing when we arrived and when we exited they were sitting in a car next to where we were parked they opened there car door when we were trying to load up are car load of teens and got out of the car it was like a scene of cheech and Chong if you know what I mean! FYI: NO bathrooms in the parking lot area!
Inside the queues and security areas were well planned and organized, staff was friendly!
Port-a-potty’s only and they were in very weird locations, some where in the entrance line right after entering which was narrow area so people standing waiting for bathrooms were in the way of the entrance walkways. The lady that scans your tickets started yelling at us to get moving, and there are more bathrooms inside (which were also in weird locations in the way) she also yelled use the bathroom this is your last chance! Once you enter the queue to then enter the houses one after the other there are NO bathrooms or drinks stations until you exit the houses the end.(about 30-60 mins long) This could be a long wait and issue for some people! I wish I brought a bottle water with us!
We liked that they spaced groups out! Do not rush through the houses and walkways or you will catch up to the group in front of you. The group behind us caught up to us quickly (they must have been power walking thru) they were kinda rude, walked right behind us through the next house as if they were in a hurry, at one point we moved over and said go ahead of us!
Some of the houses only had 1 or 2 scare actors in them, which was a bummer, There were many spots where actors could / should have been.
The houses were very well decorated and themed. The exit areas were really good, also. We seen hardly no staff at the exit areas. The only staff we seen were in the picture area trying to sell the pictures they took of people inside the houses.
Over all I am glad we took the trip to check out these haunted houses but we will...
