The friendly associates in table games make the stay worth while. When you are greeted with a smile, a warm concerned worker who shows that they not only care about their job but they also care about your experience enough to help someone learn a game such as my girlfriend, to give that small town hospitality, it means alot. I worked here for over 11yrs before COVID layed me off. But after 11 yrs I got to experience what it's like to see things from the other side of the table at the very same place that I brought my best guest services when I worked. I can whole heartedly say that I was proud to have worked along side the familiar faces I saw tonight because those same faces I worked beside gave their best guest services on the front line. Even though they wore a mask I could still see that they were smiling. To my past coworkers (the table games family) I wish to give you my sincere appreciation for how special a memory you gave my girlfriend and I tonight. A special thanks to Melissa Besio for being so helpful, for bringing your great personality and doing all you do at such a high level of profession! Girl you got game!!! To Jake, you bring alot of life to a table! You cheer on the crowd and make sure to bring the laughs from the gut of everyone! To Kelly, Always sincere vocally and taking your job to heart. To you your job is more than putting food on your own table. You make everyone elses fun factor your main concern along with your jobs duties. That's a big step above what the competition brings. To Amber, I have watched to grow into so much more of an outgoing person that knows how to not only relate well with all your guests, but you work very hard at trying to get better and better at your job. Perfection seems to be your motto and you do a fine job at it! To Adam Charland, Marlie and I were rated and you were on your game professionally. You made sure we were taken care of in a prompt and orderly fashion all while making sure we (as guests) were having fun. The sincerity in your demeanor shows you care about what you do and that you are not just doing it because its asked of you. You take great pride in the mark you leave on your job. To Cliff, Professionalism, you embody what it means to be a dealer. You do a dealers job seemingly effortlessly. You bring lots of expertise, and you can tell you thrive in the environment and you do your job with purpose and you are focal on the key ingredients that keep bringing people back to the AMC&R. To Jaque, You are always a thrill! That lively, vibrant, rich energy you bring to the craps table or anywhere for that matter makes it always enjoyable and memorable. Never a dull moment!!! You all deserve a raise... a feather pad... and to be pulled aside by a superior and commended for your abilities and for the level of effort you all bring to the table games department. I truly hope Aaron reads this to you all. I am truly proud to have worked along side you all. You all make the work place feel like a family place not just for coworkers but for the people on the other side of the table as well. Thankyou all again! We sincerely enjoyed it and it was a pleasure to drop you guys some tips! Thank Melissa Besio for choosing to put the dealers on 13 for $4 on roulette for a whopping $144 tip! BOOMSHAKALAKA!!!!!! You all deserved it and so much more! Take care...
Read moreI booked a hotel room for November 23,2023. I am a Canadian resident and was taking advantage of the hotels promotions policy to pay Canadian funds on this date. I will add that I have used this hotel under this policy previously with no problem||I made the reservation, read the terms and conditions which clearly states that a credit card will be necessary for a guarantee of the room, if the reservation was not cancelled by 48 hours prior to the stay, it would be charged. This is fully understandable and is a practice used by all hotels.||I understood that I would be allowed to pay the charges in Canadian funds upon arrival, if I did not show up the card would be charged in US funds. This perfectly understandable||I was charged the same day as I booked the room. When I called to enquire why I was told this was the policy. One reservation clerk told me because it was in advance by over 2 months they could not guarantee that this promotion would be valid, even though it clearly states it is available for booking, I asked to see confirmation that this was the truth, I was sent a copy of the terms and conditions, which I had read and which clearly states the credit card would be necessary to guarantee my arrival, NOT that it would be charged upon booking. On the second call to the reservation desk I was told I should have put a "note" on the reservation that I would be paying in Canadian dollars. There is NO access to put a note on the reservation.||This was accelerated to the manager operations manager who also stated this was standard policy, I know of no other hotel that demands payment more than two months in advance. The manager did cancel the reservation but because I am in Canada and using a Canadian credit card I was subject to the exchange rate difference. It was more than $10.00 which is not a lot but the fact that it was necessary because of what I consider questionable billing practices it leaves a very bad taste. I offered to rebook with payment of Canadian funds on arrival and asked perhaps if we could have a voucher to make up for the difference on the exchange and was told flat out there was no way that would be offered. We live in Ottawa and do make quite a few trips to this casino and have always enjoyed our visits and felt the staff that we had encountered were both friendly and professional, this situation is not up to that. For the sake of $10.00 this casino has lost our patronage, it was disappointing to say the least. The operations manager accused me of yelling at him, while the level of my voice may have been higher than usual, it certainly could not have been determined as "yelling". I had to call this individual back a second time because the cancellation confirmation was not received. He did then respond by email and proof that the reservation was cancelled, having to call and request confirmation that the reservation was cancelled further enforced my opinion that there needs to be a clearer option for booking at this...
