I will NEVER go to a show here again. Went to Darius Rucker tonight (8/6/21). He was good, from what we could hear, this is not about him - it’s about the venue. 1 lane into the venue. It literally took 27 minutes to drive the last 1/8 of a mile into the parking lot $40 parking, cash only. $40! I can’t do it justice how incompetent the entire parking process was. After spending 27 minutes to drive the last 1/8 mile and paying to get in, they had everyone go down 1 of the approx 20 lanes of parking. It took about 3-4 minutes per car to get into a spot. They had tons of people working there, enough where they could have had several parking lanes active at a time - but they only had 1 active at a time. Most of the workers were just watching or talking to already parked guests After both of those lines, the lines to get into the amphitheater from the lot was huge. 2 people checking tickets for 1000’s of people. It took a good 20 minutes to get from the back of that line to get our ticket scanned. so that’s about 90 minutes from being 1/8 mile away to getting our ticket scanned. There is no exaggeration here we had lawn tickets, so I’m not expecting a great view or anything… but we couldn’t see a thing. The only screens they had were at the stage and not big at all. You can’t see a thing from the lawn (and we were sitting in the better lawn area, up front) the sound was horrible. They also don’t have any speakers other than what’s at the stage. Anyone on the lawn only hear muffled music. It can’t cost much at all to have speakers back by the lawn too, let us hear these lawn tickets, and all this trouble, we’re $75 each. The WORST seats at most places, like Jones Beach, are usually $35-$40 and you can hear and see great, $75 for that is a major ripoff. after ALL of that, gotta go to the bathroom or buy a water or something - the lines were about 20 minutes long. 20 minutes! They had enough bathrooms and concession stand lines for about 1/4 of the attendance.

Never ever...

8/6/2021 Darius Rucker Concert I've been to all types of venues throughout my life and this was definitely the worst. We tried to arrive early but once we were about 3/4 of a mile from the entrance we were in standstill traffic along with everyone else trying to get into the parking lot. It took 40+ minutes to finally reach the entrance where we had to deal with a rude and shady security guard asking for $35 cash for parking. The parking lot was unkept, people were urinating everywhere because there were no port a potties or restrooms, and tailgating was prohibited. As we're walking in security isn't checking tickets so basically anyone can walk into the concert. We finally get to our seats and I notice that my seat is completely broken and the front is covered with duct tape. When I sat down there was no support, the seat angled downward towards the floor and the loose front pinched the skin on my legs. I showed the ushers and security the problem but they said there was nothing they could do. Feeling defeated at this point I decided to get a beer. There were only a few beer stands and the lines were insanely long. I waited 25 minutes in line to finally get a beer which was half foam and warm. I sat tiptoed for the rest of the concert so I wouldn't fall off my seat and the back of my legs had welts from the seat constantly pinching my skin. If I wasn't with my wife and a large group of friends I would have walked out immediately. The weed and cigarette smoke didn't bother me but the massive cigar smoke around us was insane. There's a stand on the grounds that sells cigars and a lot of people were smoking cigars. Between the 2 tickets (me & my wife) and parking I spent over $350 for a terrible night. The grounds and amphitheater have so much potential but the place is poorly run. I will never go back to Bald Hill Amphitheater and would never recommend it to anyone. Do your research before you spend your money at a...

The show was great (Old Dominion), but the venue left alot to be desired. This was my first time at the Amphitheatre in Farmingville and it was a mess! Horrific traffic on the one-lane road trying to get there with no traffic control. Alot of the seats were cracked and were filled with water from the rain the night before. As soon as you sat down, the water got pushed out and people had to sit with wet backsides and legs all night. Time for a serious update! The good thing was a good view from almost any seat since the venue is fairly small. They only had 5 people on the security team for over 9,000 people (per the security team). There was no trouble, but they were kept very busy trying to keep people from doing their business in the woods, close to where people were sitting instead of using the porta potties. We had seats in sec D, row B, which were great seats, except they were so short-handed at the beer/wine station in our area, that the line sometimes went over 50 people deep and looped around right in front of our seats, which completely blocked our view. Because security was so short-handed, they had a hard time keeping these people out of our view and constantly re-directing the line. The staff did a great job, considering what they had to work with. Considering the tickets were no less expensive than much better venues, I don't think I would return here again. I would definitely see Old Dominion again, but...
