Guy doing hayride, pretty sure owner, very rude and nasty even to the children. Berated my family that my children had to sit on our laps “because we didn’t pay for separate tickets for them.”. Welp, we did. Everyone had a paid ticket that was handed to him before climbing aboard. Then looked directly at my 2 year old to say “move over this is ridiculous”. Sir, why are you yelling at children? Hayride took off and it was definitely like a how it’s made series - talks about the farms irrigation system… not appropriate for children or to capture anyone’s attention. My husband asked a question because he was genuinely interested in something and he was met with “I mentioned that earlier - you didn’t listen”. You get what you pay for. For $10 this farm is a lot smaller with less to do than others - combine that with the (owners?) awful attitude to patrons, and I’d say you’re better off across the street at Waterdrinker! One would think that families with children are his biggest clientele - the people that actually contribute to his farms fall time success…. So why...
Read moreFalse Advertising! Lenny Farm advertises $10 entry fee for anyone 2 & older for strawberry picking but that’s a lie. The $10 fee per person is only the entry fee into the the vendor area. To go strawberry picking you have to pay an additional $10.
Face painting for $15. A cup of beer for $10. Undercooked hotdog for $9. Overcooked THIN cheeseburger with fries for $14. The additional $10 each to go on the hayride that drives you to strawberry field was supposed to be informational but only six people in the front of the hayride got the education about the farm because there was no microphone.
The playground & the petting zoo were free BUT I didn’t allow our child to look at the sad animals because of the poor conditions. VERY small pens —- Animals should not be kept in small spaces and unable to freely move while tons of people hover over starring at them while others pet them.
**Drive a little bit further east to another farm and you will...
Read moreWas really disappointed in the watermelon festival. There's nothing there that has to do with melons except for a bin of melons that you can purchase and a few watermelon balloons. You paid admission for basically a playground since you had to pay for everything inside. They advertise that admission covers the petting zoo but you have to pay to feed the animals, they advertise a 5oz tasting which wasn't offered to us anywhere, we had to pay for face painting and to do the kids candle activity. You have to pay for the hayride. So what is the point of the $10 pp admission fee? Total waste of money!! The fair thing to do would be not to charge families admissions to enter and still have to pay for everything offered . Really disappointed and feels like a total rip off. Wish I saved the $100 we spent today to go across the street to waterdrinker instead who actually includes everything in...
