Robert Rowley Park — Attraction in Town of Brookhaven

First and last time coming here. I was looking for a park nearby the Carters store where I was shopping with my 1 yr old daughter since it was a beautiful day. I arrive and as soon as I park I could already tell this place was probably not the best place. Even though it is advertised as a CHILDREN'S park on Google. There were no children present, only adults smoking weed in their cars and around the premises. Smoking is completely fine, just not where children gather. So I get out of the car and that's all you smell. This place was beyond ghetto and I felt extremely uncomfortable since it was mostly grown men just gawking at me while again I'm with my daughter. I don't know the whole time I felt uneasy and just left. Parking lot filled a bit more, this time some of the adults had kids with them but they were too busy smoking as well while their children ran around....

A great community park! Where saying hello, please and thank you can and do go a long way! Also picking up after ourselves and occasional pickup someone elses is impactful! We can continue to grow as a community and support each other. Handball courts can use some maintenance such had paint and new lines. Basketball court is up kept well. Play ground can use a refresh to bring the water back and open bathrooms clean and...

Kids were being coached on the basketball court. Bellport Rotarians were cleaning the park. We picked up some broken glass and lots of cigarettes.
