I went here on a day trip on my boat with a date and I really wanted her to have a good time so I found this place on Google and couldn't be happier with my choice. Steve, the guy that runs this place was waiting at our slip with his lovely assistant ready to help us dock and was incredibly helpful with his knowledge about the area and activities which helped make our date perfect. I was amazed to see that aside from being the dock master, Steve is also the bartender, repair man and general do everything guy in the area. He was literally everywhere at the same time and we were beginning to suspect there was more than one of him. LOL. Read moreThis place is so far removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The National seashore VC sits just above the marina with a classic porch (veranda). The orange Adirondack chairs are very comfy and there is fresh, potable water from the drinking fountain / bottle tap. The VC has limited staffed hours given severe budgetary pressures at the NPS. There are good leaflets available outside to the right of the double doors. If you go inside they feature National seashore souvenirs, a compact exhibit on the history of the national seashore, and a table for kids to explore some of the sea and beach creatures.
