South Haven campground is different than South Haven park campground is really nice I like to go walk around the whole entire thing cycle most mile and a quarter if you do in blacktop I go to the waterfall or you can walk cross and go to the other side Web they used to have the horses and with boats are and they have boat you can row rent and roll out there and do freshwater fish and it's a great park to go to they have tent camping and they have provisions were you can have party under is electric and this barbecues there on the the pavilion but you need to rent it get a green key card great place...
Read morePlace was clean, bathrooms very clean with plenty of stalls and showers and both hand handicap accessible stalls & shower as well as a ramp entrance. Had playground for kid with swing and a slide. Just wish it was more secluded, could see houses across the street. Garbage was pickup on the side of the street by your lot number. Rv site's had water & electric hookup but no sewer. But had 2 dump stations at the front recently updated. Each lot didn't have firepit but you could use your own. Picnic tables were provided. Read moreThe good: The nature is beautiful as the area is beautifully preserved and untouched (mostly), plenty of wildlife to enjoy.
The very bad: The campground is sketchy. Lots of “long term campers” here. I also suspect plenty of drug use based on behaviors observed during our stay. It’s easy to decipher between those who are just campers and those who actually live there as many of the set-ups resemble something seen on skid row.
Will absolutely avoid camping here in the future because I’m actually afraid to.
