Burke Town Hall Park — Attraction in Town of Burke

Excellent park. Play structure far from highway if children are wanderers. There are some structures separated by an access road but not used much and the workers are great about watching for kids. Bathrooms open on back part of town hall building near swings. Covered Pavillion with plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills if you want to grill out. Trails for walking they split off depending how much you want to do but longest isn't over a mile. Island surrounded by water. There are more picnic tables at the top of the hill on the island. Great if your kids are climbers but the walkway to the top of the hill of the island is a man made rock staircase can be dangerous for smaller children. This is a fantastic and well rounded town park on the edge of the city. There is a large variety of activities for children of all ages here between the sand pit choo choo train, swingset, slides and climbing structures. For the little explorer there are walking paths in the prairie as well as top and around the island for bird watching. The shelter is enormous for a city park, capable of hosting large get togethers.

I'm going to give 5 stars in spite of all the muck in the pond lol it's just that nice that there's an extra star to make up for the one I would have taken. If you like spitting a loogie into the water and watching all the baby fish eat it, then you'd like this place. Or if you just want to walk near water or something. I'm not sure if you can fish there but all I could see was little ones hungry enough for some ABC skittles lol that's Already Been...
