I stopped briefly while I was in town and was BLOWN AWAY! This museum is so well-kept, so relevant and packs so much information in, while keeping it accessible to all age levels! I've been to many and this is easily one of the best museums in Wisconsin! The current exhibit, "Anaamaagon: Under the Snow" is incredibly immersive, informational and engaging! I'm still impressed at how multisensory it was! And the admission of $5 for adults is an absolute STEAL!

Read moreWhat an adorable spot. I bet little kids would love it, but as a woman in my 40s, I still had a great time. I definitely put on a little fox cape so I could experience being a little animal under the snow, but stopped short of playing in the acorn pit.
A wide variety of ways to interact with exhibits, plentiful but approachable information about the area and wildlife. Respect and appreciation for the indigenous land stewards and history of the area they hold and share.

This beautiful little museum is full of kind, knowledgeable staff, beautiful taxidermy, an awesome indoor kid play area with a flying squirrel and live reptiles in their terrariums, a seasonally? changing kids’ exhibit with lots of interactive learning, and a cool gift shop (great for educational gifts and books especially).
