I LOVE this park and surrounding grounds. We ALWAYS stop here on the way back home to Baldwinsville. The location is PERFECT and I love that most recently they have added a larger pirate ship in the back. There is a TON for the kids to do here and the surrounding lawns and treeline are beautiful. What I find most appealing is the grounds and equipment maintenance, you can definitely tell there are people on sight to keep the park clean and SAFE for the public. The rest rooms are also very clean. I did see about a month ago it looked like a new Splash Pad was being built across the road, opening the weekend of father's day. I am certainly looking forward to stopping to check that out the next time we are in the area.

I would have never known of the park’s existence had I not been invited to a friend’s family birthday party there. The park was very nice, with a wide open, yet covered pavilion, beautiful bathroom facilities and an expansive “play” area that was designed to also be inclusive for those with disabilities. I did bring my dog also as there is a nice green space that the dogs could play. If I were to ask for things that I felt were missing, one might be that a smaller pavilion be built to house a portion of the green space so the dogs could have some shade on a really hot day. And maybe something designed to tie an extended dog leash. I had to use one of the large pillars. The second would be perhaps an area on the other side of the pavilion that would have open air grills. But I could also understand the argument why the city of Canandaigua would not want to have grills. All in all, it was a beautiful day, with a nice breeze blowing through the pavilion and a great...

Yo, this is literally a pirate ship playground. Life for a small children does not really get any much better than this. Oh wait--it does they also have swings, a teeter-totter, AND GIANT DINOSAUR EGGS, that you can climb on. This is one of the most amazing parks I've ever been to, it is one of my son's favorites, and he had a very long membership to the Strong museum of Play. If you are looking for a local playground, that not only has very great facilities, and it's also directly across from a up and coming developmentally challenged and/or handicapped as in wheelchair children, it is one of the best ways that I can possibly ever imagine a better way to integrate and accustom small children to not have a " fear of other ". Plus, they have public bathrooms, that are...
