Stiglmeier Park in Cheektowaga, NY, is a true gem for both locals and visitors. This expansive park offers a range of activities that cater to various interests, making it a great place for family outings or solo adventures.

One of the park's most appealing features is its extensive trail system. The trails are well-maintained and suitable for both leisurely strolls and more vigorous hikes. The scenic beauty along these paths, with lush greenery and occasional wildlife sightings, makes for a delightful experience.

For families, especially those with young children, the park's playgrounds are a highlight. They are safe, modern, and provide a variety of equipment that keeps kids engaged and entertained. Picnic areas scattered throughout the park are perfect for family gatherings or a quiet lunch in nature.

Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the well-kept soccer and baseball fields, which are often buzzing with local games and tournaments. These facilities add a lively energy to the park and offer spectators a chance to enjoy local sports.

Another notable feature is the park's cleanliness and maintenance. The grounds are well-kept, with clean restrooms and well-manicured lawns, reflecting the park management's commitment to providing a pleasant visitor experience.

While the park is generally peaceful, it can get crowded during weekends and special events. However, this also adds to the park's charm, as it becomes a melting pot of the community, with people from all walks of life coming together to enjoy the outdoors.

In conclusion, Stiglmeier Park is a wonderful destination for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. Whether you're into hiking, sports, or simply want a relaxing day out with your family, this park has something to offer. Its blend of natural beauty, well-maintained facilities, and variety of activities make it a must-visit in the...

There is so much to do & plenty of parking at Stiglmeier Park! If you're looking for the walking trails through the woods & birdwatching, make a right when you enter and drive all the way down. You can park near the playground and walk towards the woods. You'll see posted signs for the trails. Once inside the trails you can meander back and forth over raised walkways and dirt paths. There are quite a few paths that cross each other so make sure to remember where you started!

Some people bring birdseed to entice the birds and wildlife. You'll find it along the rails of the walkway & the wildlife seem to love it! Some of the squirrels seem to become accustomed to this though and will follow you.

Great for families with kids as they have a nice big playground near the trail entrance. There is also a bathroom facility down a ways near the baseball fields that was large and...

Wonderful experience! It's highly recommended that you bring a friend - for personal safety and just to share the view with. The trails are lovely, being very twisty and turny, and covered in overgrowth to keep things shady. There are even boardwalks that stretch between patches of forest. Make sure you bring your own water though, as I couldn't seem to find any fountains. A bit difficult to get to via public transportation, so I'd advise making a day of it if you don't have your own vehicle (or have someone who can pick you up after). There aren't any restaurants but there are some vending machines located in some of the bigger fields for convenience. Awesome for walking, running or jogging. It's hard to get lost - just keep taking right turns to go in a full circle. It's about 3.5...

One of my favorite parks. The playground is expansive and great for kids. And if it's not busy, great for an adult to pretend to be young. Great place to see local birds, squirrel and deer, even if they're probably too friendly, amongst other wildlife, like the occasional beaver. Would recommend to anyone. Restrooms are limited in the off-season but porto potties are provided, for better or for worse.

This is one of my favorite parks in WNY. They have ball parks, playgrounds, shelters, picnic benches, and a beautiful path going through the woods ❤ The animals are friendly and approachable, just still be cautious, they are wild. I love seeing the squirrels, chipmunks, cardinals, chicadees, woodpeckers, deer, and raccoons. If you can, I highly recommend spending some time in this wonderful park!!
