Small Addictions RC — Attraction in Town of Chenango

RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE... SOMEONE PURCHASING SOMETHING ONLINE VS SOMEONE IN THE STORE???? Well if I could I would give this place negative stars.... So to begin with I live over 2 hours away so I called to find out if they had a particular part for my fiancees rc car. When speaking with an employee there they said to guarantee that the part would be there the next day for me to come and pick up go ahead and purchase it online and it would be held at the desk for me BC they had 1 left and that was it. So that is what I did. Skip to next day... Drove 2 hours to pick up this part well after getting there he decides to walk around and look in the meantime I pick up a can of spray paint because of the color it was a hard to find color that color shifts and wanted it for a specific project while walking around with it for over two hours in my hand my fiancee decides to purchase a $400 RC plane and we finally get to the counter to pay for the RC plane, my can of paint, and two other pieces for his RC car and I was informed your spray paint cannot be purchased and the employee sat it to the side I said EXCUSE ME??? His response was because someone just bought it five minutes ago online.... yes I understand it's just spray paint but what the principle is that I walked around this store for two hours with it in my hand to be informed you can no longer purchase this because it just got purchased online. So YES I WAS LIVID!!! That makes NO SENSE TO ME BEING I HAD IT FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS TO PURCHASE IT ALONG WITH THE OTHER $500+ ITEMS THAT WE WERE PURCHASING. I THINK PERSONALLY THAT IS BEYOND RUDE!!! THE PERSON ONLINE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REFUNDED THEIR MONEY OR TOLD IT WAS ON BACK STOCK TO BE ORDERED IN MY PERSONAL OPINION!!!! (If the part that I purchased online the night before if someone had it in their hand then that's the way it should have been the same way. The person in the store should have gotten it.) I HAVE NEVER HEARD A BUSINESS DOING BUSINESS LIKE THAT! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND SPEND A PENNY THERE!!! RUDE...

Being an senior citizen, I have seen hobby stores come and go,they only seemed to concentrate on one aspect of the hobby trade ,I suppose this was because they didn't have a large place to display their wares, but your store is huge, I found it a very extensive choice of different types of models ,including RC . I was also impressed with the hundreds of metal , and wood choices to build . Your staff was very helpful,friendly and knowledgeable,even to an old man who was just looking around, and basking in the memories of his past model building, and collecting. I would like to see more of the pre 1930s ,planes and cars , military and civilian. Just a thought, You have plenty of choices to keep me busy for years to come. I would suggest that you advertise, not only on the internet, but locally, in the news papers, not every one likes to shop on line. Also ,I donot know who parks their inventory of Jeeps in the parking lot ,but it doesn't give shoppers much parking close to your store. You will be seeing me again. I spent over 150$ Got the wrong parts from the store manager, and was told to basically deal with it when I arrived to exchange. I live over an hour away and had to deal with that service especially when I was told the day before you cans take care of it. Don’t understand how your suppose to have a business run when you don’t even care about your customers. Thanks for letting me keep parts that won’t fit my RC Car! I’ll make sure people order elsewhere.

Also got a call about 30 mins later after leaving and putting this review up so now I’m updating it I was told I’m no longer allowed in the store and that they have proof I was doing the shopping alone when I asked for assistance and there’s proof of that to with the manager helping. Also how are people suppose to know the parts fit if they don’t take it out of the bag and try it out such as the wheels I tried to return when the tires didn’t match correctly then couldn’t get the tread I asked for because I had three of the others one.
