We've been wanting to check out a trampoline park for a while now. I noticed a few within an hour or so from the Bronx. After doing some research, I decided on Bounce.
We planned to get there as early as possible to avoind any crowds, since this was our first time. We arrived at 12 pm, right when it opened. The place was empty and we were greeted by some friendly and helpful employees. We filled out the appropriate waivers (can either be done on your mobile device or they have a computer set up near the counter as well)...the waivers are for adults and children. The 60-minute bounce passes are about $20 for children and $25 for adults. They are good in "rounding-up" the times...si if you arrive at 12:15, they will give you allow your time to expire at 1:30, giving you 15 extra minutes. You are also required to buy and wear socks (about $2.50 each), but they can be taken home and used again if you return. For my family of four, it was about $100.
There is an arcade section in the front area which has some shooting games, air hockey and a bunch of other ticket-winning games where you can accumulate tickets and trade them in for prizes, similar to Dave & Busters. This area is generally small and was a nice bonus. All the machines in this area are card operated, which you can purchase at the front counter...essentially 4 tokens equal $1 and most games are 4-6 tokens per play.
After you get your pass, you get to roam free. There are a few different bounce areas; open bounce, foam pit, volletball area, climbing area and a large free bounce area. What I really appreciated was that there were a few designated areas for the little ones (5 and under). For someone who hasn't bounced before...let me tell you...it was quite a workout. My legs are sore they day after. The only additional area you can purchase optionally, is the rock wall climb area...which I believe is about $5 per climb.
There were drinks (soft drinks - $3) and snacks (cookies/chips - $2ish) for sale at the front counter.
One gripe was that we could only find one bathroom there (family bathroom), and the condition was pretty bad...especially for the place only being open for under two hours.
Another gripe was that a bunch of the arcade machines did NOT work as expected. We needed to have points on our game card reimbursed a few times.
While we were there, from about 12-2pm on a Friday, the place never got really crowded. The workers, mostly teenagers/early twenty-somethings, were all very nice. They all seemed to have positive and cheerful attitude. I understand that it may not be easiest to deal with bouncing kids all day, so kudos to them.
Overall we had a great time here, but I would likely check out the other places in the future...
Read moreIf I could give it a 0 stars I would. Our neighbors invited just us for their son’s birthday party. They have 3 kids, we have 2. Everything started perfectly, we were having a great time, except it was kinda dirty. Is my second time in this place and has always been empty and know we know why. There was a whole section close because a girl broke her ankle, understandable. But why her friends approximately 4 of them were all eating, drinking and jumping around? They even started playing volleyball with the “basketball” that was supposed to be to play in that section of the trampoline and almost hit us on the head twice, we were sitting on the bench and as soon as we started walking to the stairs to call our kids up they opened up so they can have more space, we could not sit there anymore. Anyways, the big problem was that our kids weren’t allowed to go in that section, but the other girls were before they came with the girl and “ they paid”, that’s what the manager Joel W. said. He was extremely sassy and rude, and you know when you are polite but in a rude way? That was him. Telling us to have a good rest of the day etc but in a sassy way knowing I was upset. I spoke to him and said that if he know how unfair he was treating us and his response was “ sorry but this girl is my priority right know” I said why would you let 4 other girls play like crazy all over the place why they are not sitting down or something if this section is “closed” he said. Sorry if I say is close it’s close” in a matter of minutes the whole staff were looking at me and talking between their teeth, laughing. Maybe he rolled his ice too because after I left the girls looked at him and laughed weirdly. I spoke with one of the front ladies she was fine, until the manager came, she became very rude. I said I want to complaint and Joel W. he was over himself because he’s the manager he was like. “ yeah you want a complaint, complaint to me I’m the manager. I didn’t want to speak to him anymore so I tried speaking with the front lady, she said, you can only speak to him his the manager. He was like “ mhmmm”. We left without even spending our tickets. I would like to speak with someone who is above that manager because more things happened. There was a lady and a gentleman who were very very polite even though they heard and watch most of it. As being an anxious person. This caused a lot of stress and...
Read moreWent to Bounce on Sunday 2/18/24 for the first time for a birthday party. I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the entire establishment. The safety nets were covered in dust from midway from the floor to the ceiling…it looked like it was an inch thick. There were torn safety nets on the 12 and up jump area, the mats were falling down in multiple areas, the dust covering the spiral slide in the 6 and under play area gave the appearance it had not been deep cleaned in a long time. Everywhere I looked appeared to be unkept. The women’s bathroom had paper towels everywhere on the floor because no one took the time to install them into the dispenser and they were on top of it. A child would never have been able to reach it. The supply door had no doorknob on it and it was clear there were cleaning supplies at child level. There was debris from a prior party under the tables in the party room and our party attendant had to be located multiple times. There were many decomposed foam blocks in the block pits. It just seemed tired and neglected. My child had fun despite my disgust but I seriously doubt I would go back. It appeared to me that aside from teenagers working there, a responsible adult did not oversee much of the runnings of the facility. I was also surprised that the staff did not monitor the age designated jump areas, as there were many small children in areas clearly designated...
