I can only speak on my experience in the medical assisting program. I was enrolled in spring 2019 at the north campus in Liverpool. Instruction was fair and the campus was adequate. They changed to the “new and improved, modern technologically advanced” building which was 100% a joke. From the parking to the classrooms to the library...or lack of library, the thing was small, lacked the equipment we needed as students to learn and often the instructors seemed frustrated as well, the major improvements seemed to benefit the full time staff as their office was nice and the lobby was something that belonged in a hotel and I was able to see this from my tiny cramped lab classroom that had GLASS walls looking directly at the lobby that was full of students taking breaks and socializing (very nice when you need to concentrate). Then covid hit. We were moved remote. Signing up for the course I was informed medical courses could not be done online due to competencies we need to pass, and rightfully so. However my tuition now was being spent for the remainder of my college experience to listen to an instructor read a power point and say “now normally we would practice this skill but can’t so review the material”. My clinical and med labs consisted of me getting a two hour crash course to quick pass the competencies and move through the program having gained no confidence in my skill level. To put it into prospective I stuck a needle in one arm one time to learn a blood draw, needless to say when applying to jobs or looking for jobs I could not say or feel that I was competent in phlebotomy, or most other skills for that matter that should involve us practicing them over and over. I will spare my less then positive experience with the program director in regards to an internship, and jump to a review course for the CMA which we pay for. The course ended in December, there is no CMA test available until March. What was the point to pay for a review course that is almost four months prior to the test, in fact it was preached to take the test ASAP so the review course is fresh in your mind. I have sought financial compensation and have heard nothing back. I am considering legal action and I can say I am not the only student who felt this way. I will never recommend this college to anyone especially for this course. It for me was literally throwing away my money. I hope those who read this will consider seeking medical education at a school that won’t fail its students and shamelessly collect our tuition for an inadequate educational experience. Best way to compare, would you be comfortable driving on the road with if you learned how to drive...
Read moreThe Syracuse Poster Project is a nonprofit civic art group. We bring together poets and artists to create an annual series of illustrated poetry posters for Syracuse. Bryant & Stratton College has placed graphic design interns with us since 2010. The College does a good job of organizing, monitoring, and streamlining the internships. We generally assign interns to special side projects that wouldn't get done without the additional help. Tasks have included design of DIY pillow kits, special collage posters, and photo albums. We have found the interns to be motivated, competent in basic design programs,...
Read moreMy experience with Bryant and Stratton starts from the Carling Road location and continued to this campus. I received continued positive support from every teacher as they knew studying wasn't going to be easy juggling with a full time job. Im beyond proud of myself and wish everyone attending classes the best. To be able to say that i graduated and have the degrees to show words don't express how amazing that feels. For any new student. Set your goals. And go for it. The end result is...
