Man giving speach upon arrival was told we were an 8th grade group & actually we were a THIRD GRADE GROUP. We are learning about life cycles at school. Meaning egg, larva, adult. This man was talking about graveyards & what feeds on dead people which obviously made my 3rd grade friends quite uncomfortable! Each group had a diff guide, but ours started off with "Let's go see if we can find a dead bird or squirrel maybe to see what's eating it." We in fact did NOT look for dead animals but he had the group write down wind speed, ground temp, air temp. A nice little walk & talking about why the wind is faster in open ground. I just don't understand why the man couldn't adjust his curriculum after seeing the little kids & not 8th graders? The mental images this man was providing were far too graphic for 3rd graders!...

At the top, you have a view of Holy Hill, nearby lakes, the dormant Ethan Allen boys school, and many fine kettle moraine landmarks. If you are there in winter, with clear air and naked trees, you might even catch a glimpse...
Read more08/18/2018. Beautiful place for hiking, skiing, biking, and horseback riding. The skiing trails are wide - great for hiking in the summer. There are several levels and lengths of trails to choose from (easy to intermediate). The trail surface varies throughout the park - sand, dirt, grass, rock, and mulch. The blue trail will challenge you with a variety of ups and downs. I highly recommend stopping at the butterfly garden. Must climb the tower to catch the awe-inspiring views. You can drive directly to the tower if you don't want to hike. Will definitely try to make it back to try...
