Fern Dell Gorge — Attraction in Town of Delton

First time here. I've hiked and camped at Mirror Lake for many years and had no idea this was even here! We joined a Facebook group for Wi State Parks & saw some pictures, and just HAD to check it out. Gonna give a big thanks to the person that suggested Yaktrax & trek poles. Fern Dell Gorge is located within the Mirror Lake State Park. (So you'll need a park sticker). I visited the narrow mile long gorge on an early March morning after a fresh snowfall. There were numerous ice falls. The gorge meets up with Mirror Lake. A maintained trail is available on the top left of the gorge that provides some amazing scenery. Nice short trail with a great view at the end. Have some history panels posted along the trail of how it was long ago and who lived around it. It use to be a swimming hole with steps going down, but those are long gone. BE CAREFUL IF YOU GO ON THE OUTSIDE OF RAILING.!
