Beautiful, free and dog friendly Botanic Garden. Very enjoyable and decorative displays. Amazing color and vibrancy, well tended and cared for. Signage was informative, overall layout very esthetic. Many different sections / types of displays including a vegetable garden, herb garden, stunning flowers, trees, native plants, shade plants and more. Only wished it was larger! Perfect timing for my morning visit as there was a great Farmers Market at the entrance.

In season, gorgeous, peaceful, fulfilling, industriously well-kept, easy entry, knowledge-enriching, sun and exercise may be the best facets to help enjoy here. The Rock, Herb, Vegetable and Fruit, Flower, Heath, native-localish gardens are better than many I've seen overseas. On Saturday mornings, right next door, is Broomes' Farm Market and Eat NYS venue.

Perfect little spot for a cosy walk with your crush! It's stunning! They were in the middle of building construction projects, but everything was tiddy and well kept. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. This would be an awesome place for wedding pictures and the like.

The entrance to the garden is at the back of the group of buildings. I may have missed the correct driveway, but I had to drive around and across the parking lot, which was full for some event that evening.

Once I got that figured out, the garden was very nice. It's small, and during the fall, many of the flowers are dormant. The trees were beautiful, though. Everything is labeled, but the labels are small.

The layout is quite accessible and there's just about everything you'd want in a botanic garden. I especially enjoyed the "local flora" section, and the grass jungle was a neat idea. I'd love to see the rose garden in spring!

My only complaint is that the garden is situated right next to the highway, so traffic noise is constant. The garden was there first, though, or...

Right now (August) flowers are in their prime. A perfect time to visit. Dog friendly! Travelers can stop at Cracker Barrel, Applebee's, or Starbucks next door and stretch legs along easy, wheelchair assessible path with beautiful scenery and well marked flowers, veggies and herb gardens. In the same parking lot is Taste New York store with a little cafe featuring sandwiches, coffee and munchies, all from NY business owners. On Saturdays during the season there's a giant farmers market at Cornell Coop Extention. Easy on off 81 in Binghamton. There is highway noise because it's very close. Best entrance is past Cracker Barrel, turn right and go past...

Every Saturday morning during the summer they have the farmers market. I personally love the food vendor outside close to the entrance to the gardens his food is delicious. We go to the gardens after and my wife takes some amazing photographs of all that grows. From perennials that come back every year to all the annuals that the volunteers place and maintain. The had a class to become a master gardener not sure if they still do that. Also is A taste of NY. A really great place to spend the day. So pretty people have photographs taken for weddings. We highly...
