So here is my story..my family we were traveling back home from visiting our son who is a marine at camp lejune after running into truck problems I realize we blew a tire out on camper and I am in a area I don’t know at all I see CRACKER BARRELS always saying welcoming campers.. I went in Friday 2/23 and the manager (Dan I believe is his name) was just great.. very understanding and friendly and helpful. My first impression of the store was wow this is beautiful setup so clean and organized and the employees were right there (NOT ON THERE PHONES).ready to help a customer and stocking the shop and shelves the place is super busy and seen no wait and heard no complaints from customers just a great place to even walk in and shop lil things candy snacks drinks and memorabilia stuff. For as busy as it is, it seems like there would be at least one customer unhappy not true. Everybody was leaving and coming with smiles on their face. My point of that is. I had to wait to get the part I needed so I can continue drove two hours from home with my family to have lunch here and check on our stuff. I got say their food matches the store. It is just tiptop for a restaurant of this caliber. The food was awesome. The service was great again when we came the next day today the store was just as good clean.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO EAT AND ENJOY A GOOD HOME COOKED MEAL WITH THE BEST SERVICE AND CLEANLINESS YOU WILL FIND AROUND BINGHAMTON NY TO STOP BYE AND TRY IT.. for the record the manger that took care of me Friday night is working tonight as well just a super outstanding guy who will probably do great things in the company I no it takes a team to make it run smoothly but I didn’t really interact with the team as I did with the manger again I highly recommend it here and the Cracker Barrel closer to my home would be Cicero ny I wished they would come down here and train with this team I can go on and on but ur probably bored by now go eat and visit the Cracker Barrel near you thanks again for everything Binghamton Cracker Barrel definitely very happy...
Read moreThe day I went, the entire front parking lot was torn up and impassable .. it was a weekday, and it was probably the best time to replace it, but it was very unusual to enter the store / restaurant from the side emergency exit .. I parked in the back (bus parking) when I realized that they actually were open . Once inside, it was as if the staff was on overdrive trying to make up for any inconvenience their customers may have experienced outside. This is definitely one of the locations where the food is definitely made to specs .. If you have a favorite restaurant chain, you know that sometimes one location can make the food better (or worse) than the others .. Well, the food was hot, tasty, and very quickly served .. a perfect way to start your busy day or get you back on the road if you're traveling through. The biscuits, a Cracker Barrel staple, were slightly dense, and they've been getting smaller over time, but they're still tasty and the perfect complement to their country gravy. •My eggs .. over medium and really perfect .. yolky and not a drop of uncooked white .. actually, it's not easy to get them made properly anymore. •Hash brown casserole .. cheesy, hot, crispy edge bits, .. exactly the way it should be. •Fried chicken breast .. hot, really crispy, crunchy crust, super tasty, and moist meat .. very satisfying. •And again, the country gravy was exactly what I needed to satisfy my cravings that morning. The store was loaded with goodies, and the staff was exceptionally attentive both in the restaurant and store. This location may have had parking issues the day I was there, but I'll definitely will stop in whenever I need a really good...
Read moreCracker Barrel is an outdated Chain that holds its appeal with large, relatively cheap portions.
We visited this Cracker Barrel on a weekend for lunch. The Establishment was very busy.
Cracker Barrel is an interesting one to me. While most chain restaurants are struggling to get people in the door, I was very surprised at just how busy this one was at lunch time. We arrived in the middle of a lunch rush and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table.
Cracker Barrel hasn't changed their aesthetic, possibly ever, and in 2025 it really feels dated. However, during this visit to a full restaurant, the average age of the patrons was probably in the 50-60 age group, so it's safe to say Cracker Barrel still does just fine with the older generation. Much imof this probably has to do with both the size of the meals, which are huge, and the relative cheapness of the meals considering their size. We were amazed with the amount of food we received, and neither of us were able to finish our meals without a to-go box.
Service was good and relatively quick considering how busy the place was, and we did not wait long for our meal to be served.
While portion sizes are large, the quality of the food does lose this visit some points. There is nothing particularly wrong with the quality, but it definitely screams average, and there is nothing particularly memorable about the food other than the portion sizes.
Overall, Cracker Barrel delivered an okay dining experience with nothing to complain about, and gave us enough food to eat dinner off the leftovers, but doesn't impress enough to make this a...
