I found this place on accident, on my random roadtrip from Pittsburgh. It is absolutely beautiful! There's a little park for kids right by the beach, a couple of small lots to park in, and lots of open beach to sit or play on. There's a tavern right along the beach that has live music some nights; there's also two other small places to get food next door. It's all tucked away in this little space off to the side of the road, and it feels so far away from reality but it's not. The people there that I got to meet were so incredibly welcoming and friendly, too! I wasn't expecting it at all, especially because I'm the weird one with colored hair and tattoos. I normally feel out of place, but even the locals that lived in the houses along the beach were so genuine and kind to me.

I definitely have this place saved as one of my favorite random lil spots to adventure to. There's the state park further down the road, but honestly, this little spot was more amazing in my opinion.

Oh and people bring their dogs too- so if you don't like dogs, don't worry, they're super respectful and don't let them go carelessly. And if you DO love dogs, get ready to pet some of the...

This beach/park has changed a lot over the past 20 years since I was a kid. Residents dont like you near their beach property now. You used to be able to pull your vehicle up and grab a picnic bench for the day... I am grateful to the town/village for maintaining a place that celebrates the diversity of the area & facilities people from across a wide area coming together to enjoy themselves in peace, together. As long as you are respectful, this is still a place where you can set up for the day listen to music & enjoy it...

We had a great time at this adorable retreat over New Year's weekend! We made the reservation somewhat last minute, and Dan couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful! The house is perfect for a couple, very spacious, cozy, clean, well-stocked, and organized. Lake Eerie is just down the road and there's a few bars/ restaurants right there on the water, within walking distance to the house. I highly recommend this place! We couldn't have asked for...

I’m rating it a 3 because nothing compares to Lake Michigan or Lake Superior & I give them a 5 star review. For an Ohio beach; this isn’t a bad spot to get some beach vibes. I also like that there’s a playground right next to a bar and taco place. So there’s a little bit close by and walking distance from the beach. The parking lot is nearby too. It’s not as clean as Michigan beaches which is why it’s a 3 and not a 5.

A bit rocky but nice and sandy once you get into the water. The lifeguards were very attentive, and rotated often to ensure fresh eyes. The nearby bathrooms sucked, but there are a handful of picnic tables up off the sand close to the parking lot. Plenty of space on the sand, with a limited dining area patrolled by the lifeguards. Water never got that deep. A nice way to cool off in the lake though.
