The Tilted Taco — Restaurant in Town of Evans

This small restaurant clearly caters to quick eats and outdoor summer fun, but that doesn't detract from the good food and friendly staff.

The food is very good. I got a burrito, and it was absolutely packed with meat, onions, and other delicious ingredients, then expertly wrapped and grilled. Even better, it was served with homemade chips and salsa. I'm nkt sure what kind of salsa it was (I'm assuming not a tomato-based salsa since it was yellow) but it was delicious.

Service was very nice. The cashier was quick and attentive, even when I needed to look over the menu for a bit before ordering, and they answered my questions well. The manager even came out to check on me as I was eating, which was nice and unexpected.

As for how it looks, this is clearly not intended as a sit-down restaurant. There were two small tables inside and some picnic tables outside. That's not a knock against them, as their modus operandi seems geared towards serving people on the go. It has limited decor, but what it has works well.

I was very very specific saying I wanted a mild beef taco and making sure they could give me that and they assured me it was not spicy and that it was 'plain' and people use the hot sauce to add how hot they want it to be. Well I bite into it and it's medium hot..like medium hot wings when you want MILD wings. So I bring it back to complain it's too hot and the owner looks at the girl asking if she added hot sauce and no she hadn't. And it was difficult for him to understand me saying 'it is not mild and it is not plain because there definitely is a sauce on it with some spiciness." Had I not been so so insistent that I wanted it mild and the girl there should have understood what mild was if he didn't and they both assured me it was not spicy. So obviously people who love and defend this place like spicy and maybe that's true Mexican. But I've been waiting a long time to go there because in the evenings I don't want to wait 40 minutes so I went for lunch and got two...

First time (finally!), I grabbed a bunch of food for the game day - we ordered the special share box which was 3 special boxes, a quesadilla and extra chips with queso. It was all so good! We ended up leaving without one of the special boxes and the owner called me right away saying please come back and I will run it out to you! So apologetic about it and was waiting at the door for me to pull up so he could run it out! Which he did! Amazing service truly cares about his business and his food 🌮 Can’t wait to try out the rest of the menu!

Additionally, one of the special boxes had chicken and due to allergies I asked if it could be replaced with something else. No questions asked they were happy to adjust.
