Gates Public Library — Attraction in Town of Gates

The library itself is nice and big. They also seem to have good things to do throughout the month for all ages. I've never had to deal with a library system with so many little fees here and there. Amazing that u have to pay a fee just to transfer books between the county libraries. Ridiculous! I also hate the fact that you can't reserve books that are on the shelf of where u want to pick them up. Every time I have visited, I usually get the cranky worker. We love this library! Great staff, great selection, amazing kids section. Everyone is so helpful and friendly to me and my kids. The events are a lot of fun and there is always a lot to do. Our favorite people are Carm, Dan, & Kim. Books are typically where you expect them to be and there are fun extra crafts or bulletin boards for the kids to participate in all the time. The staff can find the answer to all our questions about holds, fines, and other locations and the outdoor book return is our buddy. We have great library locations all around but this is...

Edit...this library continuously loses the books that you returned to them in their own hands the employees at the library are incompetent stay away from this place they are looking to rob people that can't afford to buy books fact!!!!Do not return the library books to the drop box because one will end up missing and you will be charged a ridiculous amount of money.
