Letchworth State Park, Inspiration Point — Attraction in Town of Genesee Falls

Absolutely beautiful park! We visited at the start of summer and explored the Upper and Middle Falls with our pup—such stunning views and super pet-friendly. The trails were well-marked and easy to navigate. Can’t wait to come back in the fall for the foliage, and we’ll definitely plan for a picnic or coffee stop next time!

Tip: Get there early if you’re going on a weekend. Parking fills up fast, especially near the waterfalls. And wear good walking shoes—the trails are very doable but you’ll want comfort for all...

For most ppl Inspiration Point is the start of their sightseeing in Letchworth SP. The first glimpse of the gorge one can see Middle Falls, commonly considered the best of the three falls. Beyond it is Upper Falls with its spray seen from a distance and the arching train train watching overhead. Walking trails from here to closer views of both falls can be used or one can drive to parking areas and walk from there. Getting closer is much more inspiring and worth whatever effort you make...

One of the high points of my life was to visit this place with a bunch of friends. Truly amazing experience. We walked from the Castille Entrance all the way to Inspirational Point and beyond. It was chilling but well worth it. The sound of running water nearby and the sight and sound of the waterfall in the distance is peaceful as well as epic. It is also situated at a great height.
