Visited on a Sunday after originally having a reservation the day before (which they very graciously moved to the next day after our schedule changed). The entire experience was 10/10. The manager (unprompted) recalled that we had rescheduled and greeted us warmly with genuine interest in how our tastings the day before went. Our wine server Sharon could not have possibly showed us more genuine hospitality. From offering an extra taste to compare a vertical, to bringing our left behind visit notes outside to us and then taking our picture, she was the perfect host to an amazing tasting. It should go without saying that the wines followed suit and were the perfect sendoff to a Finger Lakes weekend.

We had visited once before, 9 years ago. This visit lived up to that memory and more. We would be hard pressed to visit the area and not include a...

We visited Billsboro for its Chocolate and Wine pairing and were excited given it was the first winery that we were exploring in the Finger lakes region. Unfortunately, the overall experience was underwhelming.

First, there was zero effort put by the winery to explain the process of trying the chocolates and wines together. There were no tasting notes on the wines, and there wasn't even clear labeling to indicate which chocolate corresponds to what name. I'd recommend that the winery spend time to make the experience more educational for amateur wine drinkers.

Two, the wines themselves felt unremarkable. Out of the four that we tasted, none really piqued our interest sufficiently for us to buy a bottle.

Overall, if Billsboro were to invest a bit more in the experience it offers to its patrons, visiting this winery could...

Went on a winery crawl with my friend and she found this lovely wine and chocolate pairing experience. Our server was friendly and humorous and we had a wonderful experience there. (We were those people that were there right before closing. Sorry. 😬) After 2 days of many rieslings from other wineries, (many delicious, no negative reviews) I finally found the sauvignon blanc I had been craving! One of the best sauv blancs I have ever had. For you Marlborough fans, we're aiming this flavor profile towards you. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious wine...it's a no brainer. If you're researching wineries to go to on your OWN winery crawl in the Finger Lakes, this is a gem...

Billsboro Winery Nestled in the woods, Billsboro Winery has a classic barn-style presentation with stone interior walls and a maroon barn style exterior. They excel in service with restaurant type seating on the inside and outside on their covered deck. They offer a choice of dry and sweet wines, and uniquely offer a curated flight with chocolate parings. Although I was not interested, I can see where this would be a hit with many others. Billsboro’s classic look and well seated areas for enjoyment are a great draw for wine enthusiasts.

Great relaxing patio with a view of the surrounding trees, hill, etc. We didn't see a vineyard adjacent to the area we were seated in. The woodwork on the patio is pretty great and they have some nice touches to make you feel comfortable and relaxed (not rushed). The presentation of the tasting flights was nice, as you are seated at your own table (vs. stepping up to a tasting bar). They had a decent selection of there own wines. There was also "guest" selections from other winery, which was a unique idea..
