The venue was beautiful. We loved it from the moment we booked. The bridal and groom suite there was perfect onsite. Unfortunately there were some huge disappointments. BEWARE of these things: The coordinator was rude my husband and his grooms, my parents, the DJ’s assistant and the Pastor. My marriage license was not signed after the ceremony. I was taking pictures and asked her to ensure it was taken care of. We rented heaters for the outside patio $65 each. I asked them to be turned on at 2:30 the ceremony started at 3:30. The heaters were not turned on until 3:34 as the propane was not checked the night before. Now the owner did refund us for this, but this was still very disappointing for us. When she refunded me for the heaters she stated the coordinators assistant did not show up that day and she believes that was part of the issue as she was alone. Mind you our coordinator never communicated this with us. They also should have had a plan B for call ins. I don’t feel like that excuses her behavior. On top of her being rude, her face showed she did not want to be there. Multiple guest commented on her attitude and behavior. The owner said she reached out to some vendors and no one had responded except for catering (which they have a contract with), and that the coordinator would be completing additional trainings through HR. Not sure who she reached out to because I asked the DJ, photographer and pastor. She never reached out to them, the people I told her witnessed these situations. I responded back to her just stating that it was good she was doing additional training, but what does that do for me and my husband now? As our day is over. We felt as we deserve compensation for this. I emailed her over 3 weeks ago and I’m still waiting for a response. We also had security breech with the security company they used for their cameras. Whoever installed watch the whole wedding. We have proof as they knew a guest at our wedding and was sending screenshots and text to them all night. They are aware of this now as we sent them proof. I loved the venue. But, l would never book another event with them again. Communication was lacked, and they don’t seem to necessarily care that we didn’t have a great experience? It was more excuses than anything. I’m sorry but I’ve been short staffed at work MANY times and I am not rude to my patients. I deal with it. Additionally, my friend who got married here also had issues and she is black as well. Starting to wonder if that’s why we are being brushed off. Very...
Read moreMy son’s wedding and reception were at Pomona and I can’t say enough about this venue! The ceremony was outside and the landscaping was absolutely beautiful, the inside of the venue was stunning, it has simple decor that lends itself to a contemporary clean line feel that’s chic at the same time. It was perfectly spotless as you would be able to spot anything immediately because the decor is mostly white. It has 2 suites to dress in, one for the bride and her party and one for the groom and his party both are spacious and comfortable. I was a bit worried because the bridal suite is in a loft style balcony and there was no elevator but the stairs were comfortable enough for anyone to navigate especially in long dresses. You will have an outstanding event if you are lucky enough to have e Meghan as your event planner, she is out of this world AWESOME!!! The staff is so friendly and nice , everything ran smoothly and we had an event that we will never forget! Along with all the positive experiences we had I do have a few suggestions (not complaints) because the ceilings are so high it can become very warm in the venue and I don’t think the AC is enough to adequately cool the building, it may also help if all but maybe one side door to the patio stay locked as guests coming in and out were letting the warm weather in , It also became very warm in the bridal suite and could use additional cooling. The ceiling height also muffles the acoustics so it’s hard to understand the speakers, again these are only suggestions and not complaints. This venue is absolutely beautiful and we had the most beautiful wedding!! Thank...
Read moreMy husband and I got engaged in December of 2021 and there was no question that we were sprinting to Pomona to set a date for fall 2022. Our wedding was the first weekend on November. Our coordinator Megan kept the day flowing smoothly even after a family emergency occurred and I lost all sense of time. Somehow our day still ended up being the most perfect day imaginable all because of the team at Pomona. They also stood by us on our plan to have the ceremony outside. The venue is a perfect blank slate that allows you to decorate however you envisioned. We even were allowed candles and sparklers which most venues won’t let you do, so that’s also another major factor that sets Pomona apart from others. The bridal suite and groom’s suite are perfect for getting ready and the inside of the venue speaks for itself. I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue and team for our wedding. If you’re looking for the ideal stage for your perfect day, look no further, book them!
We also want to thank Megan for everything she did for us, she really is a fairy godmother and made our dreams come true! (Pictured in the last photo, taking our picture and being our cheerleader right after the ceremony)
