Proline Car Stereo & Tint — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

Unfortunately, I can't recommend them.

It's unfortunately, because the staff all seemed really nice and the shop is clean and really premium looking. But I went there about a month ago for a new radio install. I was told 2 hours, and was there for 4, with no updates given to me about the long wait. And by the time the car was ready, the owner was moved on to helping somebody else, and just sort of ignored me on the way out. Finally somebody else came outside to ask me if i needed some help with set up, use, etc.

After that, I've had to return twice. Once because the Sirius antenna has to be moved, and the 2nd time because after selling me the radio, and installing it, I've now been told that the radio won't work with my car as it is now, (as expected) to fade the audio to the rear speakers. - I would never had purchased it had i been told that up front. Which I feel like I should have been?

During my last time going back, one of the guys, who seemed helpful told me there may be a solution and he was going to call me later that day to to let me know. .... that was a week ago, and i haven't heard from anyone.

So, nice shop, good people, but I can't go back and can't recommend them. I spent a lot of money (for me) and the radio doesn't work the way anyone would want it to, i was never told that, and the customer service has been a little lazy, and...

From start to finish, this location was fantastic. I brought my truck in for tinting and couldn’t be happier with the results. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by Chris, who was absolutely great — professional, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He walked me through everything and made sure all my questions were answered in detail.

The team at Proline is top-tier. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality really stand out. The tint job was flawless, and I appreciated how thorough and transparent they were throughout the whole process. You can tell these guys take pride in their work.

What made it even more special is that it brought back memories — I grew up in Brooklyn and always loved going to Proline there. Having a Proline Audio shop right here on Long Island is a dream come true. And this East Meadow location is exactly what I hoped for — professional, passionate, and customer-focused.

The place is clean and nice looking but its not that great. The quality of the install was subpar and I didn't want to go back because they broke alot of my clips and now all my panels are loose or popped and I had to take it to the dealer to get fixed. Costed me $400. Also I don't like the bigger guy. I don't remember his name but he wears glasses. He's very condescending with the way he talks to you. You can tell he's a narcissist. I went to an ivy league and just watching how this guy talked and treated me and the other customers was appalling. I like Chris though. He's a nice guy on the other hand and you can tell he's trying his best but there seems to be a power play issue among the employees making it hard to tell who's in charge. I spent a full day in the office waiting for my car and watching them interact with each other and I can honestly say I have no idea who the owner is. They should film a murder mystery in their shop and it would be amazing. Overall the quality of the work is equal to best buy.
