Huntington — Attraction in Town of Huntington

Unfortunately, I did not find the staff helpful when asking questions. Google Maps indicated the train was on platform A, but the display showed platform B. I didn’t want to miss the train, so I went inside and asked the person at the counter. It was my first time here after many years, so I had to ask some basic questions. However, the way the person at the counter responded made me feel like an idiot. Very unfriendly attitude. Maybe this is what New York is all about. I lived here for years, moved away, and now I’m back for a family trip. I guess I’ll have to adjust for a few days.

A little better attitude wouldn’t hurt. It was the start of the day with only a few people at the station, so I don’t understand why the employee seemed so bored by my questions.

There are many places in Huntington Village that I enjoy more than most other towns on the North Shore. There is a mixture of the young, old, and re-purposed (modernized) buildings with some interesting and varied architectural details. There is a plethora of dining options, my church, and a bike shop next door to it which causes me to return on a regular basis. I love hilly Route 25A to Northport, a relatively strenuous, but scenic route east to the VA Medical Center and a fine route to Flushing Meadow Park, Citi Field, and further to the west...Manhattan.
